Chapter 6 - A Phone for Every Person

"Mikoto, huh."

Ryuma was a bit surprised. Watching the mother and son embracing tightly on the light curtain, he couldn't help but smile.

As expected of the "No. 1 Most Unpredictable Ninja," Naruto had simply handed the opportunity to Sasuke, even making the agonizing choice between parents for him.

Just moments ago, he really thought Naruto was going to revive the Fourth Hokage. That certainly would have been interesting. To his surprise, Naruto had played everyone.

As for Uchiha Mikoto's revival, Ryuma didn't mind. The cost was significantly lower than Minato's anyway.

The System's revival capability was calculated based on the target's status, identity, power, and even their chakra reserves. Reviving Mikoto naturally required far less energy than bringing back Minato Namikaze.

Click!

Ryuma pushed open the door and stepped outside. After leaving the soundproofed room, a wave of noise immediately flooded his ears.

He was on a bustling street, but unlike usual, many villagers looked disgusted. Their conversations revolved around nothing else but how Naruto had taken a massive detour, skipping over a Hokage just to revive some woman.

Yes, this was the Hidden Leaf Village. Ryuma ignored them and simply looked up at the sky. His actions caught the attention of the crowd, and everyone subconsciously followed his gaze.

The next second, gasps and shouts erupted.

"What... what is that?!" "Is it raining?" "Hey! For raindrops, those look way too much like stones!" "Get down! Dodge!" "Ahhh, stop pushing!!"

Although the villagers tried to scramble away, the sheer volume of falling objects meant several people were inevitably hit. It didn't hurt; the objects felt as light as feathers.

Ryuma reached out and caught a sleek, pitch-black device. "Yo, is this the 'mobile phone' that appeared on the light curtain?"

At these words, everyone's heads filled with question marks. What? Did this thing appear on the curtain? Those with better memories thought back carefully and recalled that after the battle ended, the camera had shifted from the Duel Arena to the players' rooms.

They had found it strange at the time—they had just finished fighting, yet they looked like they hadn't broken a sweat. Now it clicked: those two had been holding these exact devices... called "mobile phones."

It wasn't just the Leaf. To be more accurate, at this very moment, the entire ninja world was experiencing a "Phone Rain"!

This was, of course, Ryuma's handiwork. He ignored the heated discussions filled with doubt and confusion and turned back inside.

Selling them one by one was too slow; Ryuma had a more direct method. He took a loan from the System: one person, one phone! Otherwise, if the people from the 3D world saw this, they'd think he couldn't afford it.

Ryuma didn't need to worry about what happened next, nor did he need to teach people how to use them. People who had just witnessed a miracle would naturally try to interact with the devices. The phones only had one app: Naruto Mobile.

Once they opened it, everyone would understand exactly what that PK between Naruto and Sasuke was all about.

Some things don't need to be taught—simple guidance is enough. After this, he expected to see a spectacular surge in the player count.

Ryuma sat at his desk, pulled out a pen and paper, and began to write:

"Lord Hokage, Magic Square Net Cafe is a shop designed to provide guests with a comfortable environment to rest, chat over coffee..."

This was a shop—his own shop. The interior was fresh, with just the right amount of furniture, a pleasant temperature, and a counter stocked with various coffees. He had thought about it: compared to being some "badass" ruler of the ninja world, it was much better to open a net cafe.

It was empty now, but it would become lively in the future.

While the Magic Square Net Cafe was quiet, the rest of the ninja world was in an uproar. The Phone Rain was simply too magnificent.

After playing around with the devices, everyone confirmed two things: what a "Ninja Mobile Game" was, and what a "PK" was!

"Heh! It only features some of the little brats from the village, but the gameplay is interesting."

In a certain tavern, Tsunade gripped her phone, practicing in the arena and taking a swig of sake every now and then.

Currently, the game wasn't "officially" live—most features were locked, leaving only the Twelve Genin characters and the Practice Mode. Even so, Tsunade was playing with great enthusiasm, controlling [Uzumaki Naruto] to run around and test out summons.

She was starting to believe what the light curtain said. The phone was clearly beyond the ninja world's current technology; playing it felt no different than shrinking a real ninja and putting them inside the screen.

On another side, Jiraiya played for a moment before becoming lost in thought. The light curtain was clearly intended to use this thing to divert the hatred existing in the ninja world.

Combined with the sight of Naruto and Sasuke battling as their game counterparts, it suggested that in the future, everyone could settle disputes in the Duel Arena.

Solving conflicts this way sounded absurd, but if there were rewards, it was a different story.

Jiraiya knew Mikoto Uchiha. Setting everything else aside, the power of resurrection alone was enough to make everyone obsessed with the game.

"If this can really be done, it would be incredible. Perhaps... this is the start of a new era!"

Everyone was focused on their phones, and the Akatsuki was no exception. Inside a dark cave, several silhouettes flickered atop the ten fingers of the Gedo Statue.

"Hey, hey, why contact us now? I'm still looking for my own character." "Idiot. There are only twelve ninjas. No matter how much you scroll, you won't find things that don't exist."

"Who are you calling a 'thing,' Lord Sasori!" "Hehehe~ Aside from that, don't you think all of this is incredible? Resurrection... and these phones."

"Is it all real?"

Someone asked the question, and everyone fell silent, unable to answer. They had seen it with their own eyes. If this was a prank, it was far too elaborate.

Among the Akatsuki members, Itachi stood expressionless, but his heart was anything but calm. The Ninja Mobile Game is real! Absolutely! Heaven only knew what he felt when he saw his mother appear. Is it truly for the sake of peace...

Pain gathered the group only to tell them to stay quiet and avoid reckless moves for the time being, then dismissed them.

After the Magic Lantern Body Jutsu was released, Zetsu opened his eyes. Obito was waiting nearby.

"Well?" Obito asked curtly. "Uchiha Mikoto's resurrection is real. It has been confirmed," Zetsu said slowly.

"Not that. What does Nagato plan to do?"

"Nagato can't make a definitive judgment yet. It's only natural; the entire ninja world has become very serious."

"Those twelve ninjas are all from the Leaf, and with few exceptions, their identities are not simple."

"Heh, so the Ninja Mobile Game favors the Leaf? What a distasteful thing."

"Is that so? Why... do you look so happy?" Obito squinted at Zetsu.

Zetsu remained expressionless, but internally, he was panicking.

Zetsu... Black Zetsu was indeed happy. He was so happy he could almost laugh out loud. He didn't know what the light curtain was, and it had vanished after distributing phones to everyone.

He didn't care about that, nor did he care if it was a conspiracy. He only cared about the power of resurrection!

If I were the one to win that duel...
