Chapter 2: Testing the Limits

The glow from Ethan's monitor bathed his room in a soft blue light as he sat back, still stunned by the impossible number flashing on his screen. His gold count wasn't just high—it was infinite. Or at least, it felt that way.

He glanced over at his inventory, now brimming with legendary weapons, rare armor, and exotic mounts. The dragon mount he had just purchased stretched its massive wings, ready to take flight. Ethan's heart raced with excitement and a hint of disbelief.

"Okay, this has to be a glitch," he muttered to himself. "But how far does it go?"

To find out, Ethan dove into the game's marketplace. He bought rare crafting materials, enchanted gems, and even a small plot of land in the bustling city of Ardentia. Each purchase completed instantly, no matter the price.

His friend Kai logged in just as Ethan was admiring his new fortress foundation. "Dude, what's going on? You're buying everything!" Kai exclaimed, eyes wide behind his own VR headset.

Ethan grinned. "I found a glitch. Infinite gold. I can buy anything I want."

Kai laughed, half in disbelief, half in awe. "You're kidding. Show me."

Ethan invited Kai to his estate. As Kai materialized beside him, his jaw dropped. "No way. This is insane."

But the excitement was tempered by a creeping unease. Ethan knew that such power would attract attention—both in-game and beyond.

As they explored the estate, Ethan noticed whispers in the chat. Rival players were talking, some accusing him of cheating, others curious about the sudden shift in the game's economy.

"Be careful," Kai warned. "This could get messy."

Ethan nodded, but the thrill of unlimited wealth was too intoxicating to resist. He decided to form a guild, inviting trusted friends and skilled players to join him. Together, they would explore the limits of this new power—and uncover the secrets hidden within Elysium Realms.

But as the sun rose outside his window, Ethan couldn't shake the feeling that this glitch was more than just a bug. It was a doorway. And someone—or something—was watching.
