Chapter 1 - Prologue

The wind howled across the barren steppes, carrying with it the scent of blood and iron. In the shadow of a once-mighty empire, two figures moved like storms, drawn together by fate and fractured by betrayal.

One was a Khan, fierce and unyielding, his eyes the color of midnight and his mind as sharp as the blade at his side. His people revered him, feared him, and whispered legends of his wrath—of the lives he had claimed and the empires he had shattered. He ruled not with mercy, but with the certainty of a man who believed the world belonged to those strong enough to seize it.

The other was a fallen prince, stripped of birthright and honor, cast into exile by the khan. Once golden and untouchable, he had known the warmth of silk-lined halls and whispered promises of loyalty, only to watch them turn to daggered smiles behind his back. Hunger and vengeance had forged him anew; he was no longer a boy of privilege, but a man tempered by fire, carrying the cold ambition of one who had lost everything.

Faith—once steady, sacred—twisted beneath their ambition. In the shadows of power, the only law was survival. In the stillness between wars, the only certainty was each other. But even love forged in violence has its limits, and in the empire they sought to command, betrayal lurked in every corner, waiting to turn the sword of desire into the dagger of doom.

This is a tale of passion and power, of blood spilled in the name of loyalty and lust, where the hearts of rulers beat in time with the cries of the fallen, and where love itself can be the deadliest weapon of all.
