The Void Titan roared.
The sound rolled across the Shadow Realm like a storm.
Mountains shattered beneath its feet as it moved closer to the city.
But the three Void Hunters did not move.
They stood calmly in front of the giant creature.
Kael watched from the palace balcony.
"They're actually going to fight that thing?"
Nyra nodded.
"That is their duty."
One of the hunters stepped forward.
His armor glowed with ancient runes as he lifted a massive blade.
"Void Titan detected," he said calmly.
"Begin elimination."
The Titan swung one of its massive arms.
The attack was powerful enough to destroy a mountain.
But the hunter disappeared.
In a flash of light he reappeared above the creature's shoulder.
His blade struck downward.
A burst of silver energy exploded across the Titan's body.
The monster roared in pain.
The other two hunters joined the battle.
One launched glowing spears of energy that pierced the Titan's armor.
The third hunter moved like lightning, slashing across the creature's legs.
Kael's eyes widened.
"Okay… they're actually winning."
Nyra did not look convinced.
"Not yet."
The Titan suddenly stopped moving.
Its empty eyes began glowing with violent purple light.
Dark energy gathered around its body.
The ground shook violently.
Kael felt the symbol on his hand react again.
"That doesn't look good."
Nyra's voice turned serious.
"It's evolving."
The Titan roared.
Its body began growing larger.
Stronger.
More terrifying than before.
And suddenly—
It looked directly at Kael.
