Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- Space Wanderers...

"My body aches, I need sleep."

A white-haired man with dark circles and blood shot eyes, a clear sign of lacking sleep, stood in front of a shop.

"I really need to sleep."

Lukas stared at his reflection in the show-glass of the fashion shop. He put his hand on the glass where a gold-rimmed glasses was displayed. Standing in front of the shops glass, his reflection looked like he was wearing the glasses. There was a glint in the reflections eyes and suddenly it let out a small smile it's hand took the glasses from it's face and stretched it forward to Lukas. He reached forward to the shop's glass and the glasses that was seemingly in the mirror was in his hands. putting the glasses on his face, he removed his hair tie letting down his hair. The long white threads cascading down his shoulders. He now looked like a scholar.

"So long since I looked like this."

Lukas chuckled to himself as he looked around taking in his environment. He was standing on the sidewalk of a busy street. High tech Cars and bikes zoomed past. The sidewalk was mildly crowded with people and robots going back and forth on hover boards. Across the sky snaking between tall, high-rise buildings and floating bridges was a glowing train. On the side of the train, typed in huge Letters were the words "Hub Train - the 21st"

'Hub train? If I remember correctly Hubs are stations for moving from one planet to another. A train though, it used to be a spaceship. I guess they upgraded. Anyway, this should work for me, because of that 'appellation' I can't use a portal. I got lucky this time. It sent me to this place. I was a little bit expecting to be dropped in the mouth of a titan.'

Lukas sighed as he walked, blending in with the crowd.

'How do I get on that train'

One of the shop attendants stood at the window of the shop glancing between Lukas's face and the glasses on display.

"What did you say your name was again?" Behind a counter sat a blue person, he looked every way human except for his colour.

"You need my name to give me a ticket?"

"Uh... yes?"

"Why?"

"What do you mean why?

I mean like it's procedure"

"It doesn't make any sense, does it? How many people come by here every day?"

"I don't know, millions?"

"And then you take everyone's names? Why? You give them greeting cards when next they pass through here?"

The blue alien furrowed his brow

"We only take the names of unregistered people. Which is completely rare. You not being registered means you've not taken a Hub train for the past 300 years since the new system was implemented. Since you don't know about the new implemented systems, Eighter you're an extremely powerful old timer, who has been leaving completely separated from the rest of the world or you were born in the last century. I don't know what races you are, but you look human to me so I'm guessing it's the later. Don't stress me kid. I get you're all excited to finally be exploring the cosmos but ignorant kids like you just die very fast. My advice? Go home and wait until you're at least 200 years old before you come back...

If you live that long" He added silently.

"That's harsh"

"Are you going to tell me your name or not?"

"Ok wait wait. Can I get the ticket without all that?" Lukas asked expectations obvious in his voice.

"Obviously not."

"What? That's so stupid what if someone was trying to sneak out of the planet unnoticed—hey hey relax why are you trying to call the guards."

Lukas sighed walking away from the queue amidst the attendant's suspicious gaze.

'So, this system was implemented 300 years ago? No wonder It wasn't there the last time. 300 hundred years ago.' Lukas looked to the sky where many hover cars passed by in a file.

'Where was I 300 hundred years ago? My memory is getting worse. Urgh. This is why I need rest.'

"If I could get on that train and drop off in a tropical planet. I could rest for at least another couple of years before 'they' track me again. The time frame seems to be getting shorter though." Lukas thought out loud.

"Hey there, you want to leave the island without the usual system? We can take you." A voice interrupted Lukas's train of thoughts.

A short human girl stood in front of Lukas. She had short green hair and yellow eyes. She was undoubtedly one of those cute types. Still it wasn't her face that peaked Lukas's interest, it was her clothes. From what Lukas could tell, this planet seems to be in the age of super advanced technology considering the flying cars, robots and hoverboards. It was a typical cyber city a clear contrast to his former planet in the 1008th district. They had yet to discover psionic energy. This place was far ahead of them.

The way they dressed also mirrored that. Most of the people wore synthetic clothing that looked like they had some kind of technology in it. None of this surprised Lukas though, He had seen a glove turn into a psionic cannon before. The rest of the people who were dressed differently like him were probably also tourist or newcomers to the planet. Every of the things the girl before him wore was one of those advanced technologies, from her gloves, to her shirt, jacket and trousers. If she can get access to these, she was not simple. Lukas completely ignored her looks. In the cosmos looks could be deceiving, an 18-year-old beauty could turn out to be an 8000 ft titan. Lukas was talking from experience.

'I mean look at me I look like a human barely into his 20's but I'm... cough cough. What am I thinking' Lukas chuckled to himself before focusing back on the girl.

'Hm? That symbol on her jacket...ah...' A small smile spread on Lukas's lips.

"A space wanderer?" He asked.

"Hm? Oh yes. I 'm a space wanderer. So, you know I'm trustworthy." She replied with a smug look on her face.

'Hm.. Suspicious... Space wanderers are usually arrogant bunches why would she suddenly approach me. This is definitely sketchy. Space Wanderers... I thought my memory was getting worse but... This brings back a lot of memories' Lukas chuckled.

----

"Lucy!!" A golden-haired boy stormed into a classroom with a beaming smile, where a gold tooth flickered in the sunlight. Every kid in the classroom turned towards the boy.

"Hey McWealth, do you have to be so loud every time? You should behave properly like someone befitting of you family status." An arrogant looking boy sat in front surrounded by other kids.

The golden-haired boy ignored the kid and directly jumped over them, landing on a table behind before heading to the seats at the back. "Hey!! McWealth!!!"

At the back close to a window, four boys sat around a table. The gold boy landed on the table and sat cross-legged on it causing the other boys to lean back on their chairs.

"Gold? What are you doing?"

"Check this out?" Gold pulled out a poster from his school shirt.

"Get off my table first" The white-haired boy who clearly owned the table judging by his sitting position said.

"Lucy! Let's be space wanderers!" Gold exclaimed ignoring the white-haired protest.

"What are you talking about?" One of the others, a boy with jet-black hair and a refined face asked snatching the poster from Gold's hands. The boy close to him, a timid looking kid with white and green hair leaned in closer to look at the poster.

"Oh?! This sounds interesting?!" The black-haired boy said with a smile on his face before passing the poster to the last boy in the group. He had short blood-red hair and had a mature look. He released his folded hands and took the poster.

"That sounds dangerous" The timid boy said slowly.

"Oh, come on Berry, that's the fun" Gold answered.

"Hm? Dangerous. Sounds like a fitting challenge for a Ruler" The red haired interjected after reading the poster.

"See even King agrees"

"What are you guys even yapping about?" The white-haired kid grabbed the poster reading it. "The tower invites you and your friends, Become a crew, explore space? Adventure?"

"Basically, become a space pirate Lukas"

Silence descended on the table. Lukas locked his fingers together leaning closer to the table. The other guys followed suit. Looking at them from behind they looked like they were up to no good, which they were obviously.

"Are we doing this?" Lukas asked.

"Obviously"

"Definitely"

"That's not even a question"

"Berry?" All eyes turned to the white and green haired boy.

"Do I even have a choice?" Berry said helplessly.

"Alright then guys just like our last school project we'd do everything in one night. Gold, get us a spaceship"

"Huh? We almost failed the school project though."

"My family has a lot of those; no one would notice one missing." Gold answered.

"Seriously?"

"Good, we have one night to learn everything there is about operating and flying a spaceship"

"That's ok?"

"Tim would disable the tracking device on the ship. I'm piloting. King is the Captain. As usual He takes the blame if we eventually get caught."

"What?"

"Only such position is fitting for me. It's a ruler's job to take responsibility for his subjects." The red-haired answered.

"Again seriously?"

"Yah right. Like anyone would punish the son of the emperor."

"Wait. What do I do?" Berry asked.

"You just stay with us. If the Headmistress sees you with us. She's less likely to think we're doing anything suspicious."

Berry signed. "How did we become friends." He looked at the four boys planning the start of the universe most popular space pirates.

"Hehehe, my brothers" He chuckled to himself.
