Rain fell over Forks like a curtain of silver threads.
Inside the Cullen house, Alice sat perfectly still on the couch. Her golden eyes were unfocused.
Another vision.
Normally they came easily—like watching scenes from a movie.
But this one was different.
Blurry.
Unstable.
A forest clearing appeared in her mind.
She was standing there… holding someone's hand.
A man.
Tall.
Dark hair falling over warm brown eyes.
But every time she tried to see his face clearly—
The vision fractured.
Alice gasped softly.
Across the room, Edward Cullen looked up.
"What did you see?"
Alice shook her head slowly.
"I don't know."
That frightened her.
Because she always knew.
"I think…" she whispered, "someone is coming."
