Chapter 1 - Prologue - In The Beginning

In the beginning, there was nothing. Then, 2 entities came…

"Let there be light."

The first one said, and the other… had other plans.

The second one abandoned the first and found himself somewhere else to reside, and gave himself a name,

"Chaos"

He declared, and with that, instead of keeping his power all to himself, he started to split himself into multiple parts, and alongside him was birthed the second of many gods in his desired universe, Gaia, who created the foundation of their Universe, then Tartarus who resides in the Abyss, and Eros, who became the living embodiment of the force of attraction, allowing reproduction. And this started the first generation of gods, the Primordials.

This led to Chaos and Gaia procreating to create Nyx, the personification of night and all darkness, and Erebus, who acts as the darkness that fills the underworld, taking his place right above the Abyss where Tartarus resides. Nyx then births Hypnos, creating the concept of sleep and rest for all living entities, and the 3 grandchildren Chaos hated the most Thanatos, who created the concept of death for all living entities, Nemesis, who serves as and for divine punishment for all living entities that deserve it, and lastly, Eris, creating the concept of conflict and chaos among all living entities.

After them, Chaos and Gaia decided to birth more children, Uranus, who finally created the first skies of their earth, and Pontus, who created the first seas. Gaia then proceeds to create the first lands, and from here, their Earth was formed.

Uranus and Gaia then procreated and birthed the second generation of gods, the Titans, starting with Kronus, the concept of time and harvest, and Rhea, the mother of the next generation of gods, to be explained later.

Other Titans born from them include Oceanus, who serves as the river that surrounds the world, Tethys, the mother of all sources of water after Oceanus and Pontus, Hyperion, who created the stars, Theia, who created all things that glow, shine, and are bright, Coeus, who created the concept of intelligence, curiosity and knowledge, Phoebe, who created the concept of prophecy, and many, many more…

During this time, Kronus begins his rampage and castrates his father, and overthrows the primordial god Chaos, declaring himself the new, and the first "leader of the gods" in doing so.

Then Kronus and Rhea procreated to birth the third generation of gods, the Olympians, Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus. Kronus is then told the prophecy of his children someday overthrowing him to take his place, as he did his father, so Kronus eats all of his children. All except Zeus, who survives as Rhea replaces him with what becomes the Omphalos Stone, and hiding Zeus in the mountains where Gaia raises him. Zeus then returns and rescues all of his siblings from Kronus, leading to him and his aunt, the Titaness Metis, procreating to create more gods.

As history passes, soon came the Titanomachy, as Zeus finally goes to war alongside the other Olympians to fight against the Titans to overthrow his father, Kronus. Kronus gives the commanding authority to Gaia, who feels betrayed after raising Zeus, just for him to plan on killing or sealing her, as they all go into an all-out war.

In the end, the Titans lose, and Kronus along with all the other titans get sealed in the depths of the abysses of Tartarus, guarded by Hecatoncheires, Atlas is specially punished to lift the heavens, as Zeus crowns himself the new "king of the gods".

The Olympians then resume their tyrannical rule over humanity and the universe. Is what they thought at least…

One day, an unknown meteor from outside the universe appears out of nowhere, shooting straight for earth. The Olympians notice this and immediately realize something is off about this meteor, as it crashes straight into the planet and deep under its surface…

Meanwhile, the first entity used His power to create the Earth in six days. He created humanity in His image, yet within a single day they failed Him.

Humanity would spend the rest of its existence facing trials from the first entity, whom they would come to call,

"God".

They smiled. They laughed. They cried. They raged. They suffered. Through every test placed before them, humanity endured. Unlike the Olympians' universe, God granted humans freedom. He did not rule them like pieces on a board, nor did He constantly manipulate them for His own benefit. Instead, He allowed them the chance to shape their own destiny.

All of this led to many new experiences. Humanity discovered fire, art, and language, slowly shaping the world with its own hands. Along the way they endured conflict and war, disease and pestilence. Famine spread across lands, and suffering and death became constant companions throughout human history. They built systems of worship, they rediscovered God and made him his own religion of Christianity. Humanity also worshipped, yet fell under tyranny and dictatorship at the hands of… their own people. Through it all, God simply watched over His creation.

Then the Renaissance came, and changed everything.

As human knowledge and ambition expanded, many began to place their faith not in God, but in themselves and in human potential. God watched as His creations slowly turned their focus inward. Yet He did not intervene. From that moment forward, He chose to step back, allowing humanity to guide its own path and face the consequences of its choices.

Eventually humanity discovered electricity, machines, and technology. Society became more self-aware, yet also more divided. Sin was at an all-time high.

Social media dominated human interaction. The threat of world-ending war loomed constantly over the planet. Protests erupted across nations, while many of the world's leaders failed to act.

Finally, despite all of the chaos the world is in, there is this one man. A very stressed 24-year old male, Josh, working the average 9-5 job, just wishing the day would just end. Little did he know, his life is just about to change forever…
