#1Chapter 1 The Unfinished Kingdom

Chapter 1: The Unfinished Heaven

"Heaven?"

"Yes, my Lord."

A crow said so.

"Don't you think this Heaven is a bit too peaceful?"

Looking at the endless sea of clouds at his feet and the suspicious crow before him, Yahweh said irritably.

In fact, he was a bit angry.

Since he had transcended, why was he not greeted by beautiful blonde maids when he woke up, nor a mansion stuffed with cash, nor a cold white mecha...

Instead, he inexplicably appeared in a place similar to the stratosphere, with a completely black, talking bird floating before his eyes.

Moreover, this bird was obsessed and kept telling him that he was the "Lord" and the "God who created all things."

And the scene before him, like the stratosphere, was the 'Heaven' from the bird's mouth.

"Since I am God,"

"Can I destroy the world?"

"No."

"Can I create all things?"

"Not at the moment..."

"Then what kind of God am I?"

"Your power is beyond comprehension..."

Yahweh asked some questions.

However, the crow's responses were all negative or vague.

These unreliable answers extinguished the hope that had arisen in Yahweh's heart.

He had thought he could transcend into some kind of invincible story plot, something like a God simulator.

Now it seemed that more information was needed to clarify the current situation.

Seeing Yahweh's low spirits, the crow flapped its wings anxiously, trying to explain something, but couldn't make it clear.

"Lord, you are too hard on me... I am just a fragment of a soul, I can remember my loyalty to you, this is already a very difficult thing, many past events have long been forgotten..."

"I only remember these few things."

"First, you are the supreme Lord, past, present, future, forever."

"Second, I am your most loyal servant."

"Third, Heaven is your abode, the mortal world cannot bear your will."

"Fourth, we need to collect the'scrolls' scattered in the mortal world."

The crow pondered for a long time, finally shaking out all the information from its small brain.

Its flapping wings finally stopped, slowly and tentatively perching on Yahweh's shoulder.

Seeing that Yahweh did not resist, the crow felt very happy.

"Wait..."

Yahweh reached out and pulled the crow down.

"What is the mortal world? What are the scrolls? Explain clearly."

Held in Yahweh's hand, the crow could not move, it answered,

"The mortal world is where many people, gods, and animals live, it is the main body of the world."

"I don't remember what the scrolls are, but I vaguely remember that the scrolls are very important to you and me, very important."

Yahweh did not ask further about the scrolls, from the clear look in the crow's eyes, he knew it could not provide more.

What attracted Yahweh was the "mortal world."

As Yahweh guessed.

He was not dead in the traditional sense and then went to heaven because he was a good person.

It was more like a kind of transcendence.

The so-called 'mortal world' might be the normal place to arrive after transcending, but perhaps due to some procedural error, he accidentally ended up in a secret realm of another world, this secret realm was called "Heaven."

"What is the situation with the 'gods' you mentioned?" Yahweh asked.

"Gods? Much stronger than mortals... the rulers of the mortal world." the crow answered.

Clouds spread from Yahweh's feet to the horizon, meeting the clear blue sky at the edge, forming a clear boundary.

The vast clouds were like a wilderness, with the wind blowing, some clouds rolled up slight ripples, spreading one after another to the distant horizon.

Perhaps.

This was indeed Heaven.

But it was the Heaven that had not yet been built.

Yahweh stood on the cloud, looking into the distance, sorting out his thoughts.

Based on the known information, Yahweh speculated that he was in a small world called "Heaven," similar to a blessed land in fantasy terms.

Besides the small world he was in, there existed a main world, within which there were many powerful beings called "gods."

The so-called "scrolls" should be something like the treasures, inheritances, or other precious things left behind by the former master of this blessed land in the world.

As for the crow before him...

Yahweh was thinking of describing it with a name like a guardian beast.

But to be honest, he didn't think this bird had any combat power... let's just call it a mascot.

"So, the thing I can do now is to enter the 'mortal world' and find the so-called'scrolls'?"

Yahweh summarized.

The crow nodded, then quickly shook its head.

It flapped its wings and said, "Lord, you are right about finding the scrolls. But it is not you who will find them. Your power is beyond comprehension, if you go directly to the mortal world, the world will not be able to bear your will and will collapse."

Yahweh scoffed at this statement.

Just admit you're scared, don't make excuses, obviously it's because the monsters outside are too dangerous.

"Then how to find them? How to connect to the mortal world?" Yahweh asked.

At this, the crow immediately became excited, even its form straightened a bit, it pretended to be wise and said,

"Lord... long before, when my soul was still intact, I had already left a backup plan..."

"What is the backup plan?" Yahweh asked.

"..." The crow was stunned, trying hard to think, "I forgot."

"But rest assured, I must have left a backup plan."

Yahweh asked again, "Then when will it take effect?"

"..."

"I don't know."

The crow answered decisively, looking at Yahweh with wise eyes, staring at each other.

...

Nemea Plain, East Forest.

This was a natural treasure land, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with a flat land full of flowers and grass in the middle. Three mountains had streams flowing down, gathering into a river in the central plain, making this place like a natural fortress.

The disaster-stricken refugees came from the west, their original goal was to go to the prosperous countries along the east coast, hoping to exchange some livelihood with cheap labor.

But when they went through countless hardships, crossed mountains and forests, and reached the east forest,

They inevitably stopped.

"This is a good place."

The leader was a tall man, supporting himself with a wooden stick, he looked around.

The man was covered in simple, tattered cloth, his body was thin and his face was yellow, looking especially thin due to long-term malnutrition, like a dry bamboo pole.

"There is food, lots of berries, wild grapes... even a group of antelope running on the grassland."

He thought for a while, then turned to the equally tattered refugees and said:

"We can stay here."
