Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 Declaration

Chapter 13 Declaration

Above the heavens, at the summit of the clouds.

Yahweh was astonished.

"So this is the world of Greek mythology!"

The crows nearby were startled by the Lord's sudden voice.

The crow's head, which was bald, has now grown quite a bit of feathers.

However, these downy hairs are noticeably shorter than the rest of the hair, making them look like they've been shaved off.

"Lord, what are you saying?"

However, Yahweh also noticed something was amiss.

He remembered that there were no 'magic crystals' in Greek mythology. As for the honor of 'warrior', there seemed to be something similar, but it should have been given by the gods to mortal heroes, and the specific details were quite different.

Moreover, according to what mortals on earth say in their spare time, they do not seem to call themselves 'Greeks', 'Achaeans', or other common names, but rather 'Middle-earth people'.

This gives Yahweh a sense of déjà vu, like The Lord of the Rings.

Moreover, he inevitably believed that there were many special regions outside the so-called 'Middle Land'.

However, he has no idea what it is for the time being.

"If the Greek gods come knocking on my door, I will push you out."

Thus Yahweh spoke to the raven.

"All of this is a grand conspiracy you laid out countless years ago."

"It has nothing to do with me."

Upon hearing this, the crow clenched its wings into fists.

It was like punching the air back and forth.

It said arrogantly, "If they dare to come knocking on our door..."

"I'll beat them to death!"

Yahweh grabbed the raven and held it in his arms.

"Can Yara defeat that lion?"

"I need to give a hint..."

In mythology, the Nemean Lion was defeated by Hercules, the strongest human hero favored by the gods.

As for Yara, he only has one rune blessing: [Resurrection from Suffering].

Although [the resurrection from suffering] is indeed a powerful blessing.

But there's nothing about the Yara artifacts or revelations, so it feels a bit uncertain.

But it's okay.

Yahweh is not short of time; he has recently become much less aware of time.

I don't know if it's because there's no day-night cycle in heaven, or because Yahweh is no longer mortal...

But at least.

The passage of time and loneliness could no longer erode him even an inch.

Time has become His servant.

Therefore, Yahweh is not truly attached to any particular moment.

Perhaps, as the raven said, even if Yara dies, he still has children, and even if his children die, he still has grandchildren.

Then we'll smear water on Yara's offspring, give them a rune blessing, and just keep fighting like this.

There will always be a generation that can defeat the Nemean Lion...

There will always be a generation that can find... those scattered throughout the world...

The Lord's Scroll.

The raven solemnly said, "Lord, you must believe in your Messiah!"

"We will win."

...

The hot, dry summer is coming to an end.

The setting sun, accompanied by fiery evening clouds, painted the horizon along the seashore a deep purple-red.

Only a few seagulls remained in the sunset.

The port, which never ceased to churn out endless goods, suddenly came to a standstill at dusk.

Several sailboats were moored on the shore, their flags fluttering as if waiting for the sailors to return, to embark on untold adventures to the distant horizon...

Argos fell into a state of tranquility; even the most idle ruffians had vanished from the streets and alleys. Drinkers and prostitutes were no longer dancing together in the taverns, nor were they engaging in any dishonorable, brief, and expensive love transactions deep within them.

The King of Argos summoned all the citizens to the royal square and announced something—

He will dispatch two Golden Warriors, and one even more powerful warrior than any Golden Warrior—the strongest warrior in the history of Argos—to subdue the Lion Monster north of the Nanemea Plains...

When the king announced this news.

Everyone was shocked.

"What? His Majesty the King is going to conquer the Nemean Lions again!"

"My God, that's a monster from mythology... My eldest son encountered that monster while on a trade journey... The entire caravan perished..."

"My husband... also perished in the last campaign..."

Clearly, the Argos knew of the Nemean Lion's existence, and many of them were even victims of it... When they learned that the King of Argos was going to once again wage war against the Nemean Lion, most of them supported him...

However, when they learned that the king had only sent three men to hunt down the lion, everyone felt an overwhelming sense of absurdity...

"Years ago... even His Majesty the King dispatched an army of ten thousand, but they were unable to defeat that monster!"

"Could it be that sending only three people isn't enough to feed that monster?"

"...What is this so-called'strongest warrior in history'? His Majesty the King must have been deceived!"

"..."

The noise from the citizens rose and fell.

Yara, standing behind King Argos, and the two golden warriors remained silent.

Yara silently watched the massive crowd surging below the platform...

It's normal for people to doubt him... However, he won't try to refute anything, nor is he obligated to put on some clownish act of breaking bronzeware with his bare hands for these citizens... He believes that the great God has already woven everything together on the other side of destiny...

And he, all he needs to do is [do what must be done], and answer the call of fate...

That fact will be the strongest and most powerful evidence.

King Argos was, of course, unsure whether Yara could defeat the monster.

If Yara dies... then the world will be one less person beyond the control of King Argos, which isn't necessarily a bad thing... and if Yara defeats the monster... then it would prove that his power might indeed originate from the gods...

Only the power of God can defeat God...

Then he would be able to take action against the "Prophet" who had troubled him for countless days and nights, based on the oath he made with Yara, and completely eliminate all the hidden dangers in the Kingdom of Argos!

All he gave up was a remote, insignificant place.

A sure-fire way to make money.

"I need to bring one more person with me."

Behind him, Yara suddenly spoke, interrupting King Argos's plan.

"Are there other people in the world like you?"

King Argos was startled upon hearing this; the mere mention of Argos, a monster cloaked in human skin, was already terrifying enough.

And if a few more came... I can't even imagine...

This will completely destroy his power system, which is divided into "bronze, silver, and gold." The warrior selection system that the Kingdom of Argos is so proud of will also collapse along with the power system.

"No, he's just an ordinary person..."

"However, he has great potential... I hope that after this successful campaign, you will bestow upon him the honor of being a Golden Warrior..."

Yes, Yara remembered the overly friendly 'fallen prince' who sat with him in the tavern when he first arrived in Argos—

"His name is Dick... um... Dicktis."

After hearing Yara's explanation, King Argos felt much more at ease... even a little relieved. In fact, Yara's reaction made King Argos even more reassured...

Yara was simply stronger than mortals... but he had selfish motives.

Still just an ordinary person.

And as long as someone has selfish motives, he can be bribed... In other words, besides Canaan, he now has another card in his hand to guard against Arah—

"Of course...if he performs well enough in the campaign."

"Then I will do it for him, and for your friend—"

"Personally granted..."

"Golden Warrior Honor
