Chapter 38 The Messiah Returns
The undulating auspicious clouds of heaven are like a wilderness, like an ocean.
A magnificent, platinum-colored temple stands above the heavenly realm of clouds.
And in front of the gate of the Platinum Temple.
A spring, imbued with the divine essence of five colors, flows gently.
The crow flapped its wings, its head adorned with a luminous golden halo, like a flying light bulb, circling back and forth inside and outside the hall.
It's clear that it really loves Valhalla.
Of course, its favorite place is the statue of the raven spirit in Valhalla...
It thinks it's so cool!
Besides that, the raven also discovered a clever little use for Valhalla—
Able to produce delicious food inexhaustibly!
Next to the main hall is a side hall, where there is a long table with engraved patterns.
And there, there are always countless delicacies on display...
Lamb legs roasted to a crispy exterior and tender interior, roast chicken stuffed with fruit and spices, and wines with unique flavors, among other things.
These delicacies are not merely earthly foods; they are nourishing supplements for the soul, formed from excess soul matter.
And remnant souls like crows naturally love to eat them.
With a chicken leg in its mouth, it flapped its wings and flew to Yahweh's side.
Yahweh was sitting by the Fountain of Wisdom, watching over the situation of Ara in the mortal realm.
Upon catching a glimpse of the raven, Yahweh asked curiously:
"You're a crow, isn't it a bit strange for you to eat chicken legs?"
The crow paused for a moment, then swallowed the chicken leg, bones and all.
It replied dismissively:
"What's the big deal, my Lord? Look down there, mortals are still eating people."
Yahweh looked down from the highest heavens upon the mortal city of Argos and saw the miserable state of the children.
He shook his head and sighed:
"Early humans were largely like this..."
"Give them some time."
"Perhaps Yara... or his descendants, generation after generation of messiahs..."
"They can slowly change all of this."
The crow didn't quite understand, but it still nodded and complimented:
"Lord, everything will be as you wish, just as it is ordained."
Then, the raven turned its gaze to where Yara was...
Immediately, it was taken aback and exclaimed in surprise:
"Oh Lord, look there..."
"It's shining, and the light is quite bright; it's an Olympian god!"
"There is a god in the city of Argos..."
As it spoke, the crow looked away, even more surprised, and said:
"There are many more gods on their way here."
Yahweh frowned upon hearing this, and looked in the direction the raven's wing pointed; there was indeed some light.
He wouldn't have noticed if the crow hadn't pointed it out.
Yawes was somewhat surprised:
"Is this God?"
"I don't feel much different from ordinary people..."
The crow, however, grew anxious and cried out:
"Yara has already entered the city, and his wife, who is pregnant with his child, is also in the city!"
"If these bad guys cause trouble... and kill Yara and his child..."
"Then the Messiah line will be broken!"
Yahweh knew the raven had one more thing to say:
Its conspiracy, which it had been plotting for thousands of years, will also be declared bankrupt!
Although Yahweh still doesn't know what the raven's plot is...
Even it itself didn't know...
"Don't rush."
Yahweh seized the raven and sat down by the spring.
"Let's take another look."
Beyond that world, in the highest heavens.
God watches over the mortal world—
...
Who are you?
"Yara Messiah!"
Yara responded loudly.
He then stepped into the city.
And when the guards tried to draw their weapons to stop this arrogant man—
"The Golden Warriors are here! Seeing us is like seeing a king!"
The two people behind Yara each took out a gold medal and held it high.
The guards were terrified and had no choice but to lay down their weapons and bow to let the men into the city...
After Yara and the others left.
The guards exchanged glances, recalling what the man had just said; it sounded vaguely familiar.
"I think a few days ago, someone claimed to be a messenger of the Messiah?"
Another person replied, "Yes, yes, he's a big shot. I heard he's the warrior who conquered the Nemean Lion..."
Only when the Nemean Lion was mentioned did the guards suddenly realize—
"The lion's head that man was carrying just now..."
"It's the Nemean Lion?!"
"Oh God... by the gods!"
...
The square outside the temple.
A bonfire was lit.
Today's celebrations are not just about daytime blessings.
There were also all-night parties.
After a year of hard work, the people of Argos, regardless of their social status, gathered in the square.
The tavern owner brought over watered-down, spoiled, and substandard liquor...
Share it with everyone.
The prostitutes swayed around the campfire, performing alluring and captivating dances...
Amidst the whistles and cheers of the crowd, he gradually shed his clothes.
A bard from afar, playing the lyre...
In the firelight, they tell beautiful and touching stories and legends.
Even the lowest and poorest commoners in the lower city...
They all threw away their hard-earned gold coins from the past year... just to buy a bottle of fine wine, or for a night of passion...
And prayed that the gods would bless him with great wealth next year.
Perhaps on ordinary days, children would be running and playing in groups...
But now, not a single child can be seen.
Thousands of people were celebrating in the square.
But from the main street came a group of people whose style was completely different from theirs...
The leader was clad in golden-brown leather armor and carried a handsome lion's head in his hand.
Behind him were two people, one carrying a long sword and the other fully armored.
There was a faint air of impending doom about it.
Those on the outermost edge of the square saw them and hesitated... This group didn't look like someone to be trifled with, so they stopped their revelry and watched the strangely behaving group with curiosity and nervousness...
Yara walked silently to the edge of the square, where about a hundred people had already seen them.
Above the sky, the clouds were parted by the moonlight, which poured onto the square, illuminating everything in the night with crystal clarity...
Yara stepped forward, raised the golden lion's head in his hand, and roared—
"Yara Messiah!"
"We have returned from the conquest of the Nemea Demon Lion!"
The citizens who heard this were taken aback, and then memories from several months ago flooded their minds...
The Nemean Lion? The warrior who vanquished the Nemean Lion?
In an instant, their hearts were filled with shock... How could they not know the Nemean Lion? How many of those ten thousand soldiers were their beloved family and friends?
"Oh God...by the gods..."
"They succeeded?!"
The citizens on the outskirts were collectively stunned.
Watching the man who called himself 'Messiah' walk into the crowd, holding aloft a golden lion's head.
The crowd, like water parting, spontaneously parted to make way for the 'Messiah'...
"Yara Messiah!"
"We have returned from the conquest of the Nemea Demon Lion!"
Yara shouted again.
...
