Me and Mori reach school and sadly parted ways, since he thought it would be weird that he follows me around in school, when I let go of his hand and look back he's gone, which I still thought was weird even though this has happened so many times, I move on from that and head to my class, inside everyone is talking to each other which wasn't surprising.
I take my seat and no one tries to talk to me and I don't try to talk to them, I have other people to talk to just not in this class and it does get lonely but I always have Mori by my side
Classes happen as usual I was active in class of course answering questions and all that but it was boring I wanted my Mori back but I had to wait since he specifically told me 'I'm always watching you' it made my heart race, it felt nice that someone cared so much and the thought alone made me push through the school day.
It's the end of school, and finally Mori can come back to my side. As I'm walking I feel arms wrap around my waist and I look up to see Mori's taller figure behind me giving me a wide grin It filled me with joy that was back by my side.
"Told you I'm always watching you my dear Mai, I'll know exactly what you're doing and where you are."
Mori said those words like he always does but today felt off, doesn't matter, him calling me my dear filled me with enough joy to brush off that unsettling feeling
"That's exactly why I like Mori the most, because Mori is the one that knows me best"
Why did Mai ignore that feeling?
