sad

Every afternoon, an old man named Rahim went to the park. He always sat on the same wooden bench under a big tree. People in the park noticed him, but no one really knew his story.

Years ago, Rahim used to come to that park with his wife, Amina. They would sit on the same bench, talk for hours, and watch the children play. Amina loved feeding the birds and laughing at the way they fought over bread.

But one winter, Amina became very sick. Rahim stayed with her day and night, hoping she would get better. Sadly, one quiet morning, she closed her eyes for the last time.

After that day, Rahim still came to the park. He brought two pieces of bread—one for the birds, and one that he placed beside him on the bench, as if Amina was still sitting there.

People often saw him smiling softly while looking at the empty space next to him.

One evening, a little girl asked him, "Grandpa, why do you leave bread there if no one is sitting?"

Rahim looked at the sky and said quietly,

"Someone is sitting there… you just can't see her."
