Chapter 3 - (Chapter 3) Ivy’s Laughter

I ran.

You would've run too.

Up the stairs.

Past the family photos on the wall,the ones where we're smiling.The ones where everything looks perfect.but I noticed something as I ran past them.

In every photo…

There was someone else behind us.

It was blurry and watching

He wasn't there before.

Or maybe he was.

And we just didn't see him.

I burst into Ivy's room.

She was sitting up in bed.

Laughing softly and giggling

In the dark.

"Ivy," I whispered. "We need to go."

She turned toward me.

Her mouth stretched too wide.

Her jaw cracked as it opened.

And something black spilled out onto her blanket.

It moved.

It crawled.

It had too many legs... Unimaginable horror washed over me .. I screamed, but no sound came out—it was as if an invisible hand held my mouth locked.

"You shouldn't have come downstairs, Leo," she said.

But her voice wasn't hers.

It was deeper.

Layered.

Like multiple throats speaking at once.

And then—

She looked past me.

I glanced over my shoulder, wondering what she was staring at. Then, a sickening realization hit me. It wasn't me she was watching.It was you.She's looking at you.

Yes. 

You.

And then... she smiled
