Chapter 10 – The First Submission

Three weeks passed faster than Anshul expected.

During that time his routine became almost mechanical.

School.

Study.

Programming.

Testing.

Improving.

Every day he pushed StudyFlow a little further.

What had started as a simple student project had now turned into a surprisingly polished software tool. The interface looked cleaner, the system ran faster, and the new scheduling algorithm worked smoothly.

More importantly, the number of users kept increasing.

Students from Rahul's cousin's school had begun using the program as well. They shared feedback through email, suggesting improvements and reporting minor bugs.

Each message helped Anshul refine the program.

One evening, as he checked the user statistics, he noticed the number had crossed three hundred active users.

For a small project built by a high school student, that number felt almost unbelievable.

Rahul noticed the same thing the next day.

"Three hundred users?"

He whistled in admiration.

"Bro, that's basically a startup now."

Anshul shook his head.

"Not yet."

"But it's a good start."

Rahul grinned.

"You're too humble."

But Anshul knew the truth.

StudyFlow was still small.

Still fragile.

Still far from becoming a real company.

However, it had already served its main purpose.

It proved that he could build something useful.

And that proof was exactly what he needed.

Because today was the deadline.

The final day to submit projects for the National Student Innovation Challenge.

After school, Anshul hurried home and went straight to the computer.

He reviewed the project files one last time.

Software package.

Technical explanation document.

Demonstration video.

Everything was ready.

Still, he carefully checked every file again.

A small mistake could ruin weeks of effort.

Finally satisfied, he opened the competition website.

The submission page appeared on the screen.

Anshul filled in the required details:

Name: Anshul Giri

Project Title: StudyFlow – Smart Study Management System

Category: Educational Technology

Then he uploaded the files.

The progress bar slowly filled as the data transferred.

For a few seconds, the room was completely silent except for the faint hum of the computer.

Then a notification appeared.

Submission Successful.

Anshul leaned back in his chair.

"It's done."

Weeks of work had finally reached this moment.

But strangely, he didn't feel overly excited.

Instead, he felt calm.

Because he knew something important.

Submitting the project was only the beginning.

The competition judges would now evaluate hundreds of entries.

Only a few would move to the next stage.

Whether StudyFlow advanced or not was no longer in his control.

But regardless of the outcome, the experience had already been valuable.

Anshul shut down the browser and stood up.

Outside his room, the house was filled with the familiar evening sounds of family life.

His grandmother was calling everyone for dinner.

His father was discussing a legal case on the phone.

His grandfather was watching the news.

Normal life continued.

And yet, Anshul felt that his own life was slowly moving toward something extraordinary.

After dinner he returned to his room again.

But this time he didn't immediately open the computer.

Instead, he walked to the window and looked out at the night sky.

The air was calm.

The streets were quiet.

For the first time in weeks, he allowed himself to relax.

Because the next phase of his plan would take time.

Waiting for competition results.

Preparing for international exams.

Building a stronger academic profile.

Each step would bring him closer to his ultimate destination.

San Francisco.

And somewhere in that distant city lived the girl whose life was destined to change the fate of an entire country.

Mia Thermopolis.

Anshul smiled faintly.

He opened the computer one last time and searched her name again.

The same school profile appeared.

For a moment he simply stared at the photograph.

Then he quietly closed the browser.

"See you soon," he murmured.

The road was still long.

But tonight, another important step had been completed.
