Chapter 1 - The Ghost Robber of Ironhold city

In the powerful land known as the Iron Kingdom, the richest and most influential city was Ironhold. The city stood beside a restless grey sea where salty winds rolled through its narrow streets and iron towers. Ships arrived daily at the busy harbor, carrying metals and goods from distant lands. The constant ringing of hammers from the iron forges echoed across the city, mixing with the cries of seagulls flying above the water.

Ironhold was a city built on strength, trade, and ambition.

But above all else, it was famous for its security.

Massive iron gates protected the city entrances. Watchtowers stood tall along the walls like silent guardians. Inside the city, treasuries and vaults were built so strong that most criminals didn't even dare to try stealing from them.

Today, however, the city was buzzing with excitement.

Bright banners hung between buildings, and decorated carriages rolled through the streets carrying nobles and wealthy merchants. Citizens gathered in the main square where a brand-new building stood proudly near the center of the city.

The structure looked less like a bank and more like a fortress.

Its walls were thick iron plates that shone under the afternoon sunlight, and enormous steel doors guarded the entrance. According to the kingdom's engineers, the vault inside contained lockers so strong that no tool in the world could break them.

Standing on a large wooden stage, the Bank Manager raised his hand confidently to address the crowd.

"Citizens of Ironhold," he said loudly, his voice carrying across the square, "today marks a historic moment for our kingdom."

The crowd responded with loud applause.

"This bank represents the greatest achievement of Iron Kingdom engineering," he continued proudly. "Inside these walls are vaults built with the strongest steel ever forged. These lockers are completely unbreakable."

Some merchants standing near the back began whispering among themselves.

"Unbreakable, he says."

"That's what the engineers claim."

One noble chuckled quietly.

"Even the Ghost Robber wouldn't dare try stealing from here."

The manager smiled when he heard the comment.

"To prove the strength of our security," he announced, "we will now open one of the vault lockers in front of everyone."

Excited murmurs spread through the crowd.

"Open it!"

"Yes, show us!"

Several guards escorted the manager inside the bank while a few nobles and engineers followed behind.

Inside the building, the noise of the city quickly faded behind thick iron walls. The air felt cooler, and the sound of their footsteps echoed softly through the hallways.

Deep beneath the bank, they finally arrived at the vault chamber.

Rows of steel lockers stood silently against the walls while lanterns hanging from the ceiling cast warm golden light across the metal surfaces.

The Bank Manager stepped forward and placed a large key into one of the locker doors.

"Watch closely," he said confidently.

The key slowly turned.

Click.

The sound echoed through the quiet chamber.

The heavy locker door began to open.

Everyone leaned forward, curious to see inside.

But as the door swung open completely, the manager suddenly stopped smiling.

Inside the locker, a man was sitting against the steel wall.

He was asleep.

In one hand he held a half-empty bottle of beer.

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then someone gasped.

"How is there someone inside the locker?!"

The guards rushed forward in confusion.

The man inside stretched lazily before opening his eyes. He looked around at the shocked faces staring at him.

Then he calmly took another sip from the bottle.

"Oh," he said casually, "you're finally here."

Whispers spread across the room.

"That's him…"

"No way…"

One guard slowly stepped forward.

"…Kael."

Another guard swallowed nervously.

"The Ghost Robber of Ironhold."

The Bank Manager's face turned red with anger.

"You!" he shouted. "How did you get inside the most secure locker in the kingdom?!"

Kael simply shrugged.

"Well," he said calmly, "you locked the door from the outside… so I couldn't leave."

He stretched his arms and yawned.

"So I decided to take a nap while waiting."

Several nobles stared at him in disbelief.

The manager shouted furiously.

"Soldiers! Shoot him!"

Rifles were raised toward Kael.

But Kael lifted one finger.

"Before you shoot," he said with a small grin, "let me explain something."

The guards hesitated.

"You see," Kael continued, "three days ago I disguised myself as one of the construction workers."

One of the engineers suddenly turned pale.

"That's impossible…"

Kael tapped the locker floor with his boot.

"While everyone was celebrating your 'perfect security system,' I dug two tunnels underneath the vault."

The guards looked down in shock.

"One tunnel is fake," Kael said with a smile. "That one is for you."

Then he pointed again at the floor.

"And the other tunnel… is for me."

The manager shouted angrily.

"Enough! Shoot him!"

Kael sighed.

"Rude."

He dropped a small metal sphere onto the ground.

"Smoke grenade!" a guard shouted.

BOOM!

Thick smoke filled the entire vault chamber in seconds. Guards began coughing and shouting as the lantern light disappeared behind the grey cloud.

"I can't see!"

"Find him!"

But Kael had already opened a hidden hatch beneath the locker.

Before disappearing, he waved cheerfully into the smoke.

"Thanks for coming to my magic show."

Then he jumped into the tunnel and vanished.

Minutes later, when the smoke cleared, one soldier shouted.

"There's a tunnel here!"

Several guards jumped inside immediately.

But it was already too late.

They had chosen the wrong tunnel.

Far beneath the streets of Ironhold, Kael crawled through the real tunnel carrying bags of stolen money.

He chuckled quietly to himself.

"Strongest security in the kingdom," he muttered.

"Needs a little more imagination."

Hours later, as the sun began to set, Kael emerged near the cliffs outside the city.

The sky was turning orange and purple as waves crashed against the rocks below. Seagulls circled above the water while the cool evening wind carried the smell of salt from the sea.

A small wooden boat waited quietly between the cliffs.

Kael placed the stolen bags inside and looked back toward the distant lights of Ironhold.

"Well," he said with a smile, "that was fun."

But just as he stepped onto the boat, a voice came from the darkness behind him.

"You took longer than expected."

Kael slowly turned around.

Standing on the rocks was a tall man wearing a dark coat. The wind moved his hair as he looked down toward the boat.

Kael smirked.

"Ragnar."

The man crossed his arms.

"You robbed the most secure bank in the kingdom," Ragnar said calmly. "And this is all you brought back?"

Kael laughed and tossed him a coin.

"Relax."

"The real treasure isn't here."

Ragnar frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Kael looked out toward the dark ocean where the last sunlight was fading beyond the horizon.

His smile slowly widened.

"Because the real treasure…"

He stepped into the boat.

"…is hidden in the Golden Jungle."

Far beyond the sea, an adventure was about to begin.
