Chapter 1 - The Whispering House

In a quiet village surrounded by dark forests stood an old mansion called The Whispering House. People said strange sounds came from it at night—soft footsteps, doors creaking, and whispers floating through the halls.

Years ago, the house belonged to a wealthy man named Rajendra. He had a son named Arjun, a kind and brave young man who loved adventure and exploring the forest nearby.

After Arjun's mother died, Rajendra married another woman named Malini. Malini came with her own son, Ravi. At first everything seemed normal, but slowly the house became filled with jealousy and greed.

Arjun was the rightful heir to the mansion and all the land around it. Ravi and his mother wanted everything for themselves.

Malini began poisoning Rajendra's mind with lies.

"Arjun doesn't respect you," she whispered.

"He wants the property and will leave you alone."

Ravi also grew angry and jealous. One dark stormy night, when thunder roared across the sky, Ravi confronted Arjun in the old attic of the house.

"You took everything from me!" Ravi shouted.

Arjun tried to calm him.

"Ravi, this house is big enough for all of us. We are brothers."

But Ravi's anger had already turned into darkness. In that terrible moment, he pushed Arjun down the broken staircase. Arjun fell into the darkness below.

The family told the village it was an accident.

But the Whispering House knew the truth.

The Return

After Arjun's death, strange things began happening.

At night, footsteps echoed through empty corridors. Cold wind blew through locked rooms. A shadow appeared at the end of the hallway—tall, silent, watching.

It was said Arjun's spirit had returned.

The house itself seemed alive with his anger.

First, Malini started hearing someone whisper her name in the mirror.

"Malini…"

She searched every room, but no one was there.

Ravi began seeing Arjun standing at the staircase where he had fallen. Every night the figure came closer.

Rajendra, the father, felt the temperature drop whenever he entered Arjun's old bedroom.

One by one, the house turned against them.

Doors slammed without wind.

Lights flickered.

Footsteps followed them everywhere.

The ghost of Arjun was not leaving.

The Night of Judgment

One night, during a full moon, the family gathered in the main hall, terrified.

The candles suddenly went out.

A cold wind rushed through the house.

Then they heard footsteps slowly coming down the staircase.

Step…

Step…

Step…

A pale figure appeared in the darkness.

It was Arjun.

His eyes glowed faintly in the shadows, and the entire house echoed with a deep whisper.

"You betrayed me…"

The house trembled. Windows shattered, and the doors locked themselves.

The spirit moved through the mansion like a storm. Every room filled with chilling whispers and moving shadows.

No one could escape.

By morning, the Whispering House had become completely silent again.

The villagers later found the mansion empty and abandoned. No one from the family was ever seen again.

The Legend

Even today, villagers say if you pass near the old mansion after midnight, you may see a shadow standing in the broken window.

Watching.

Waiting.

Guarding the house forever.

Because some stories say…

Arjun's spirit still lives inside The Whispering House.

And anyone who enters may never leave.
