Chapter 3 - chapter 3 - date

Back at Naruto's apartment, Naruto stood by the open door, still stunned by Sakura's outburst.

"System, is something wrong with Sakura? Why is she acting like that? I've watched the anime; for this girl, Sasuke was her whole world."

[Host, I cannot find any errors in the world-line. It is possible the world has sensed your existence and is creating obstacles. Do not worry; as long as you follow the plot and complete your mission—to die defending Sakura Haruno—everything will be fine.]

"I hope so," Naruto muttered, closing the door and heading to his bedroom. Sitting on his bed, he began to think about the future. The next major event was locating Orochimaru's hideout and the legendary reunion with Sasuke. Damn it, Sasuke was so cool in that scene, Naruto thought, recalling the speed with which Sasuke appeared before him, sword drawn. I need power. I refuse to be humiliated like the original.

A sudden idea struck him. "System, I want to meet the Nine-Tails, but I can't enter the seal on my own. Can you help?"

[Affirmative, Host. I can.]

"Good. Send me there now."

Naruto felt a wave of dizziness as his surroundings blurred. When his vision cleared, he was standing in a dark, damp sewer. He walked toward the massive cage towering before him. Inside, the Nine-Tails opened its eyes and let out a deafening roar.

"Brat! How did you get in here? Since you've come, open the seal, or I'll kill you!"

Naruto stared at the beast with genuine interest. It was even bigger than he had imagined; a single fang was the size of a child. He walked slowly toward the bars, his voice steady. "Calm down, Kurama. I'm here to talk. I want to make a deal with you."

The roaring stopped instantly. Kurama glared at him, shocked. "Brat... how do you know my name?"

"That isn't important right now," Naruto replied calmly. "If you're curious, bump my fist." In his mind, Naruto commanded the System to share only the memories of the anime with the fox.

Kurama narrowed his eyes suspiciously. "Why should I touch a disgusting human child?"

"If you want to know the truth, this is the only way."

The Nine-Tails went silent for a moment before slowly raising a massive clawed fist to touch Naruto's hand. The moment they connected, a flood of memories rushed into Kurama's mind. Ten minutes passed in silence. When Kurama finally opened his eyes, his expression was complicated. So... I sacrificed myself for this child? he thought.

"I see now," Kurama said, his voice lower. "What is it you want?"

"I need your chakra," Naruto said. "Soon, I will face incredibly powerful enemies and I need your help. Can you stay by my side again? I promise I will protect you in this life."

Naruto felt a pang of guilt. He was lying, knowing his fate was to die. However, he found comfort in the fact that even if he died, Kurama—being a mass of pure chakra—would eventually be reborn elsewhere in the world.

"Naruto," Kurama asked, still wary, "how did you return to the past?"

Naruto knew he couldn't lie; the fox would sense it. "I received a power called the 'System.' It brought me here." A half-truth was the best he could offer.

"Fine. I will help you, though I still do not fully trust you. Give me your hand!"

Naruto reached out, and as their hands met, a massive, overwhelming wave of chakra surged into his body. Naruto smiled, feeling the raw power. After a few minutes, Kurama's form began to shrink significantly.

"Uh... Kurama? Are you going to be okay?" Naruto asked, a flash of genuine worry in his eyes.

"Hmph! This Great One does not need the concern of an insect," Kurama huffed. "I am a mass of chakra. I will recover in two days."

Naruto smiled broadly. So, he really is a tsundere. "Alright then, I'm leaving. I'll come back to visit soon!"

With a wave, Naruto vanished from the mindscape. Kurama stared at the empty space where the boy had been and muttered, "Hmph. Don't bother coming back, brat."

Back in his room, Naruto snapped his eyes open. He was trembling with excitement as the golden shroud of the Nine-Tails' power flickered around him. He had done it.

For now is good my next plan is to learn the rasen-shuriken, I will leave it for now.

Naruto left to the washroom to take a shower. After the shower he leaned on the bed to sleep.

--------------

Sakura woke up feeling a surge of excitement for her date with Naruto. After a quick shower, she slipped into her most beautiful outfit: a long, elegant red dress that was both modest and stunning. She carefully applied her makeup and stepped into a pair of sleek high heels.

Looking at herself in the mirror, she gave a satisfied nod. "Hmm, this looks good. I hope Naruto likes it."

A wide smile spread across her face as she headed toward their meeting point. My Naruto... I just want to lock him in my room, she thought, a wave of dark, possessive thoughts crossing her mind.

When she arrived, Naruto was already there. Naruto arived earlyer as he didin't want his mission target to wait for him as he is suposed to act as her simp. When Sakura arived he looked at her in absolute shock. Why is she dressed like that? Is it... for me? His mind went completely blank.

Sakura frowned slightly at his silence. "Naruto! Why aren't you saying anything?"

Naruto snapped out of it, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "S-Sakura-chan! You're so beautiful that I just froze up. Haha, sorry about that."

"Hmph, at least you have good taste," Sakura replied calmly. On the inside, however, her mind was in turmoil. SHANNARO! I did it! an Inner Sakura cheered, pumping a fist with a strange, triumphant grin.

Naruto, meanwhile, was panicking. What should I do to make her hate me? I'll go along with it today, but I need a plan for the future.

"Should we go, Sakura-chan?" Naruto asked, tentatively placing a hand on her shoulder to guide her. Hehe, she'll definitely push me away now, he thought. To his disappointment, she didn't. Instead, her face turned a deep shade of red and she nodded timidly. "Mm-hmm."

Damn it! Naruto yelled internally. System, I want to change the target! Switch it to Tsunade!

A cold mechanical ping echoed in his mind. [Request denied. Host cannot change targets once the mission has commenced.]

Just kill me now, Naruto groaned. He looked at Sakura with a complicated expression. "Sakura, why have you been acting so strange lately?"

Sakura's face went pale. "Hmph! What kind of question is that, you idiot? Just think of it as a reward for all that hard training you did over the last three years. That's it! It's just a reward. As your teammate, I wanted to make sure you had a good time today. Don't overthink it hmp!"

She nervously pushed past him, her face as red as a tomato as she quickened her pace. Naruto sighed and ran after her. "Sakura-chan, I'm sorry! Don't be upset!"

After walking a bit further, they found a quiet, quaint tea shop tucked between the bustling buildings. "Let's stop here before we go to the clothing store," Sakura suggested, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

Naruto grinned, clasping his hands behind his head. "Anything you say, Sakura-chan!"

Inside, the air smelled of sweet matcha and sugar. They spent an hour relaxing; Naruto wolfed down a massive slice of strawberry shortcake while Sakura sipped her warm tea.

Eventually, they made their way to a clothing boutique. Once inside, Sakura's eyes lit up. "Naruto, wait here."

She returned a few moments later with a bundle of clothes. "Go change into these."

"Sakura-chan, I'm fine! You should be looking for things for yourself," Naruto protested.

Sakura's expression shifted instantly to one of fury. She clenched her fist. "Hurry. Up."

"Okay, okay!" Naruto yelped, grabbing the clothes and sprinting toward the dressing room. He had no desire to feel the power of her fist.

When Naruto finally emerged, Sakura's breath hitched. He looked incredible—he was wearing a stylish black jacket, matching trousers, and a crisp white shirt. For a split second, Sakura's expression shifted into something her "yandere," mode but she quickly masked it so she wouldn't scare him.

"Hmm, you look much better," she said with a nod, heading toward the counter to pay.

Naruto stopped her. "Sakura-chan, wait. I'll pay for my own clothes."

"Idiot, this is my gift to you."

Naruto looked down, his voice apologetic. "I see... thank you, Sakura-chan. But I didn't give you anything."

Sakura sighed as a memory flashed through her mind—the time she had rejected his necklace at Ino's flower shop. A pang of sadness hit her, but she covered it with a smile. "Don't worry, Naruto. You've already given me so many gifts."

You gave your life to save me in my previous life, she thought bitterly. I'm the one who owes you everything.

Naruto looked confused. "What did I give you?"

After visiting a few more shops, the date was finaly over.

"Well, I guess this is it," Naruto said, giving her a small, awkward wave. "Thanks for the clothes and the cake, Sakura-chan. It was... actually really fun."

Naruto wanted to run home his mind in upoar.. with Sakura strange acts

Sakura stood still, her fingers clutching the straps of her bag. "Yeah," she replied softly, her voice uncharacteristically gentle. "It was."

As Naruto turned to walk toward his apartment, the mask Sakura had worn all day finally began to slip. She didn't move. She stood like a statue in the middle of the street, her long red dress swaying slightly in the evening breeze. Her emerald eyes, once bright and sparkling, narrowed into a sharp, fixated gaze that never left his back.

She watched the way his shoulders

moved, the way his blond hair caught the last bits of light, and the way he looked in the new clothes she had chosen specifically to mark him as hers. Each step he took away from her felt like a physical tug on her heartstrings-a pull that made her want to run after him and drag him back into her embrance

"Walk safely, Naruto," she whispered to the empty air, her voice dropping into a low, melodic hum.

A chilling, possessive smile apeared at the corners of her lips. She stayed there long after he had turned the corner and vanished from sight, memorizing the rhythm of his gait and the scent he left behind.
