I shouldn't do this.
I know I shouldn't.
But Autumn is standing right in front of me, looking up at me with those curious eyes.
And every instinct in my body is telling me to close the distance.
"Luca," she says softly.
"Yeah?"
"You're doing that thing again."
"What thing?"
"Standing too close."
I grin slightly.
"You haven't moved."
She rolls her eyes.
But she doesn't step away.
That's all the permission I need.
I lift my hand slowly and brush my fingers against her jaw.
Her breath catches.
"You're trouble," she whispers.
"I've heard."
"And yet I keep talking to you."
I lean closer.
"Maybe you like trouble."
