Chapter 1 - TRAVELLING STORY

My Trip to Darjeeling:

Last winter vacation, my family planned a trip to Darjeeling, a beautiful hill station in India. I was extremely excited because it was my first time visiting the mountains. The thought of seeing clouds, cold weather, and green hills made me very happy.

We started our journey at night by train. I sat beside the window and kept looking outside. The cool breeze and the sound of the train made the journey very enjoyable. After a long night, we reached New Jalpaiguri station early in the morning.

From there, we hired a car to go to Darjeeling. As the car started climbing the hills, the scenery began to change. The flat land slowly turned into green mountains. The roads were narrow and curved, but the view was breathtaking. Clouds were floating around us, and it felt like we were inside the sky.

After reaching Darjeeling, we checked into a cozy hotel. From the balcony, we could see beautiful mountains and small houses below. The cold air and peaceful environment made everything feel magical.

The next day, we woke up very early to visit Tiger Hill. It was still dark when we reached there. Slowly, the sky began to change colors. Then suddenly, the first rays of the sun touched the peaks of Kanchenjunga. The mountains turned golden, and it was one of the most beautiful sights I had ever seen.

Later, we visited the Mall Road. It was full of shops and tourists. I bought some souvenirs like a woolen cap and some famous Darjeeling tea. The place was lively and full of joy.

One of the most exciting experiences was riding the toy train. The small train moved slowly through the hills, offering amazing views of valleys and forests. It felt like a scene from a movie.

We also visited tea gardens, where we saw how tea leaves are grown and collected. The endless green fields looked like a green carpet spread across the hills.

As the trip came to an end, I felt a little sad. Leaving such a beautiful place was not easy. But this journey gave me unforgettable memories. It taught me to enjoy nature and spend quality time with family.

Even today, whenever I think about Darjeeling, I feel happy. I hope to visit again someday.
