Chapter 8

Nearly a hundred years have passed since Creation, and the Creation Celebration is just a few days away. The entire Heaven is filled with a festive atmosphere. Thanks to the almost tireless efforts of several Seraphim over the past century, the one hundred million angels have been placed in their respective positions. The Nine Heavens are finally on track, and they no longer need to be so vigilant, fearing even the slightest oversight.

In the month leading up to the festival, it is actually a time for the Seraphim to rest, exhausted. They need to be in top form for the celebration. Everything has been arranged, and as long as the lower-ranking angels don't cause any irreparable chaos, things will proceed according to plan.

Among these angels, Lucifer, the strongest, is particularly exhausted. He has truly experienced what it means to be overwhelmed by the amount of work one is capable of handling.

From the eighth heaven down to the first heaven, the maintenance of all spatial passages was overseen by a single angel, Lucifer. Each heaven had several one-way and two-way restrictions, strictly limiting the free movement of angels with wandering minds. Generally, angels could determine their access rights to each heaven based on their rank.

With each deeper level of space, the pressure increased exponentially. By the ninth heaven, the Crystal Heaven, even Seraphim found it unbearable near the divine palace. This was similar to how the lower three ranks of angels could not survive in the eighth heaven; strength determined their survival environment… anyone who stayed beyond three days would inevitably suffer spiritual collapse and death, then be reborn in the pool of reincarnation.

For example, the upper three ranks of Thrones, residing in the seventh heaven, Saturn, could enter and exit heavens from higher to lower without being found to have violated any restrictions. However, their identities were recorded at the gates of each heaven as a record for tracking their movements. As a Throne, one cannot compare to the second-rank Cherubim. Therefore, not only is the highest level, the Crystal Heaven, off-limits to Thrones, but even the eighth level, the Stellar Heaven, is forbidden to be crossed.

In fact, after God divided the angels into three orders and nine ranks, He had already refined the angelic system very strictly. The power difference between each level is vast, with the greatest disparity being between Cherubim and Seraphim. Therefore, the Seraphim's status has become even more prominent in recent years as they have managed the heavens. This is not only due to God's appointment, but also because the Seraphim's own abilities are enough to subdue the other angels.

Lower-rank angels obey the orders of higher-ranking angels, while higher-ranking angels directly receive God's commands. Higher-ranking angels, due to their status, rarely enter the lowest levels of Heaven. Therefore, when Lucifer tirelessly traveled between the nine heavens for several years, solely to repair the entrances and exits of Heaven, this act won the favor of countless lesser angels.

God has recovered the power lost at creation in such a short time that even God himself finds it incredible. With each step up the ladder, God's power increases in every aspect. Sitting in the temple of the Crystal Heaven, as he watched the world gradually prosper, he felt a sense of relief. After all, the fate of creator gods like Pangu served as a cautionary tale, and his own pressure was immense.

The greatest benefit of a creation sprint with all one's might is that it eliminates any flaws in the divine mind. When willpower is concentrated to its peak, all hardships are merely the best whetstone; pressing forward leads to unstoppable progress, while retreat leaves behind inner demons.

Even if one might fall at the most glorious moment, even if forced to death by the dangers of creation, one should not regret one's choice; it is the highest glory of one as a creator god.

His body, seated on the throne, relaxed slightly. Jehovah rested his chin on his fingers, leisurely surveying every corner of Heaven. He was gratified to find that they were all genuinely devoted to Heaven, without any dirty ambitions or desires, as pure as children. They found joy in their hard work, their smiles clean and untouched by worldly dust.

These were his angels, devoid of human flaws. The peaceful and beautiful Heaven seemed like the most wonderful place on earth…

A clear, bright sky, warm, comforting sunlight, and a sacred palace standing imposingly in the center of the crystal heavens. As a believer in the nine heavens, God enjoyed the tranquility of being a solitary deity, awaiting the angels' preparations for the creation celebration. To maintain a sense of novelty, he would even intentionally keep his divine thoughts away from their discussions and arrangements.

Sometimes, seeing an angel encounter minor troubles, he would subtly ease their burden. But if he noticed any surprise or confusion on the angel's face, Jehovah would make his actions even more subtle.

"It's time to assign positions to the angels. Lucifer is doing a good job."

Jehovah tapped his chin with his index finger, watching with interest as Lucifer meticulously corrected the messianic rituals. The blond, brown-eyed man was driven mad by the solemn, tedious rituals and Lucifer's unyielding, demanding requirements, his only thought being how to get outside for some fresh air.

When the Messiah wanted to escape, no one could stop him except the Seraphim, for God had endowed him with power no less than that of the Seraphim. So, when Michael visited Lucifer, a Seraphim suppressing his anger entrusted him with the important task of keeping an eye on the Messiah while Lucifer was busy.

This action plunged the Messiah into even greater torment, sometimes facing Michael's gentle smile, and sometimes Lucifer's icy demeanor when he arrived. No matter how much the Seraphim explained that he had done his best, Lucifer remained unmoved, for he had already let the Messiah go several times, yet each time he broke his promise!

His goal was to ensure the Messiah could attend the celebration smoothly and not embarrass them. After all, the angels were unaware of the Messiah's existence, and the Creation Celebration was the best opportunity for this companion to appear in Heaven. Lucifer truly couldn't understand what was wrong with the Messiah's inherited memories, or whether the Messiah was simply too stupid, causing him to be completely oblivious to things that they should understand from birth.

How could God tell him this was intentional? When creating the Messiah, He harbored an unspeakable, wicked sense of pleasure. How could Jehovah, who knew how to enjoy life, not find monotony unbearable? To add some excitement, He deliberately inserted a human memory into the Messiah when He split him apart, making him believe he was a transmigrator.

If another transmigrator truly existed in this world, it probably wouldn't have interested Jehovah much. The Messiah possessed a portion of His soul and memories, which was what made Him feel special; otherwise, He wouldn't have bestowed upon him the name of a Son of God, while others wouldn't receive this 'treatment'.

A few traces of coldness melted from His golden eyes. Even sitting alone on his throne, he was no longer utterly alone in the world. Even when bored, he could quietly observe this newborn world and find enjoyment within it.

After breaking his office pen for the third time, the red-haired man's smile finally crumbled. He willingly joined the ranks of those instructing him. Seeing this, Jehovah calmly gazed into the distance, thinking that the Messiah had angered yet another Seraphim.

God hadn't anticipated that a soul possessing past memories would so resent constraints, rushing about like a clueless child searching for escape, only retreating to lick its wounds after being battered by reality and losing all hope.

Just as he is Jehovah, and he is the Messiah, the so-called past becomes history the moment it's lost. Whether god or angel, they have a long, long time to live; with time, they will gradually understand all the truths.

His gaze shifted again to the other seraphim, observing their actions to assess which angel was best suited for which position. Metatron's gentle nature, lacking the sharp, combative edge of Lucifer, allowed him to calmly and meticulously organize even the most tedious tasks—a patience unmatched among the seraphim.

Beelzebub's overly smooth personality, like Belial who worked alongside him, wasn't the type to proactively step forward. Without an angel to keep them in check, they would appropriately slack off.

Samael was quite responsible and knew how to give the other angels some leisure time. His character was fair and impartial, making him well-suited for handling long-term, tedious, yet troublesome matters. In contrast, Asmodeus often hid behind him, preferring to stay alone and inspect matters, his greatest pleasure being finding loopholes for his companions.

Gabriel, the only female Seraphim, was surprisingly popular among the lower-ranking angels. After all, no matter how gentle and friendly the other Seraphim were, they still exerted a sense of pressure on the lower-ranking angels. Gabriel's presence helped smooth the relationship between the third and highest ranks of angels.

Having a general idea of the Seraphim's arrangement, Jehovah's only uncertainty lay in how to arrange the Messiah. To balance the Seraphim's power, the Son's status and position couldn't be low, but currently, a suitable position couldn't be found.

Since there was no suitable candidate, a suitable one had to be created. With some time still remaining before the Creation Festival, Jehovah temporarily set this matter aside, observing the frequent comings and goings of other beings from the mortal realm and Heaven at the entrance, making Heaven unusually lively.

Jehovah knew that the Seraphim, together with the Elves, had planted a fruit tree somewhere in the Eighth Heaven, a place of fixed stars. This piqued God's curiosity; he couldn't understand what they intended to offer him. Their alliance with the Dragons was obvious: to prepare supplies for the celebration. The Seraphim simply used the Dragons as perfect labor, and also gave them face.
