Chapter 2 - Entry 2

Sharing a house is no easy feat. I thought living together would feel natural since Nanami and I had been friends for so long, but somehow, we fight more now than we ever did before.

One major issue was assigning chores.

Nanami absolutely cannot cook, his "legendary breakfast disaster" already proved that. So I took over the kitchen duties. Breakfast, dinner, grocery planning… all of it became my responsibility.

At first, Nanami tried to argue about it.

"Hey, that was just one time," he insisted.

"One time?" I crossed my arms. "You almost turned bacon into charcoal. And the toast tasted like seawater."

"That was experimental cooking!"

"That was attempted murder."

Eventually, we agreed on a system. I cook, he cleans. It sounded fair on paper.

But reality? Not so smooth.

Nanami has this strange ability to create messes in places I didn't even know could get messy. I would cook a simple meal, nothing fancy, and by the time I returned to the kitchen later, it looked like a small tornado had passed through.

Plates stacked like a leaning tower, water splashed everywhere, soap bubbles still clinging to the sink.

And yet… somehow he still looked proud.

"See? Clean."

I stared at the chaos in disbelief.

"You call this clean?"

"Well… it's cleaner than before."

We argued. A lot.

But the strange thing is, even after those stupid fights, we still end up sitting on the couch later, sharing snacks or watching something random.

Maybe living together just means learning a new side of someone.

Even if that side is incredibly annoying.

Still, I don't really hate it.

Actually, I think I like it a little too much.
