Chapter 8 - chapter 8

Place

Asia – 5.8.1790

Inside a research hall in the Asian Dhuman civilization, two scientists stood in front of a large table filled with diagrams and strange machines.

Xenia looked at the glowing model of the device and spoke with excitement.

"I think this may be the greatest discovery in Dhuman history."

Foxi crossed his arms and studied the design carefully.

"Traveling through timelines is extremely difficult," he said. "Where do you plan to test this experiment?"

Xenia thought for a moment before answering.

"Antarctica."

Foxi raised an eyebrow.

"Why there?"

"Because almost no one lives there," Xenia replied calmly. "If something goes wrong, fewer people will be in danger."

Foxi nodded slowly.

"That makes sense."

Xenia smiled slightly.

"Then it's decided. Let's go."

A few days later, they arrived at the Antarctic research center, a massive scientific facility built by Dhuman engineers.

At the entrance, a woman working at the reception desk greeted them.

She checked their identification and handed them a small metal card.

"Your experiment time is approved," she said. "Date scheduled: 5.8.1790."

Xenia took the card and looked toward the enormous machine in the center of the research hall.

The device hummed quietly with energy.

Foxi looked at her.

"Are you sure about this?"

Xenia smiled with confidence.

"I'll see you soon."

And with that, the first attempt to travel between timelines was about to begin.
