In a small village in Bangladesh, there lived a boy named Zahid. Their home was a tiny tin house. Whenever the monsoon came, water would leak through the roof. Zahid's father worked as a daily laborer. If there was work, the family had food; if not, they had to struggle to get through the day.

Zahid's mother always told him,

"Son, we may be poor, but never let your dreams be poor."

These words sank deep into Zahid's heart. From a young age, he dreamed of becoming a great man.

Zahid's school was far from home. Every day, he had to walk several kilometers to reach it. He had no shoes and often went barefoot.

Many classmates would laugh at him, but Zahid never let it bother him.

His family was so poor that sometimes there wasn't even money to buy books. So, he borrowed books from friends to study.

At night, there was no electricity in their house. Zahid would sit under street lamp posts to study.

Time passed slowly. One day, the SSC exam results were announced. The entire school was shocked.

Zahid had topped his school.

Teachers loved him dearly. One teacher even paid some of the expenses for him to get admitted to college.

That day, Zahid realized — hard work never goes in vain.

After finishing college, Zahid got the opportunity to enroll in a university. But the cost of studying there was very high.

For a moment, Zahid felt broken.

Then his mother told him,

"Just keep trying, and Allah will open the way for you."

Hearing this, Zahid found new courage. He applied for a scholarship and finally received one.

While studying at university, he supported himself through tuition work and studied day and night.

A few years later, Zahid got a good job at a big company. When he received his first salary, he started crying.

Because he remembered the days in that tiny tin house.

With his first paycheck, Zahid decided to build a beautiful home for his parents.

The boy who once went to school barefoot had now become the pride of his family.

Zahid always said —

"Being poor is not a crime. But not dreaming and not trying — that is the real failure."
