Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Unexpected Visit

Kay returned to the Angel City, but he couldn't stop thinking about Raven. Even though he didn't want to, Raven's face kept appearing in his mind again and again. It felt strange to Kay, as if he somehow already knew him.

On the other hand, Raven had already recognized Kay. The one he had been searching for… was Kay.

Raven waited for night to fall so he could go to Angel City. After changing his appearance, he secretly entered the city and began searching for Kay. However, he couldn't find him. Days passed like this, but Raven continued going to Angel City every night, hoping to see Kay again.

One night, Anna saw Raven secretly leaving for Angel City and decided to follow him. While searching for Kay, Raven eventually reached the palace. Anna also followed him inside without being noticed.

Inside the palace, Raven saw Dave and quietly started following him. Dave walked into a room and called out,

"Kay."

From inside the bathroom, Kay replied,

"I'm taking a bath right now. Can you come later?"

Hearing this, Dave left the room.

The moment Dave stepped outside, Raven quietly entered the room. Kay thought Dave was still there and said,

"Dave, I forgot to bring my robe. Can you pass it to me?"

Without saying a word, Raven picked up the robe and handed it to him. He stood there silently, watching Kay, while Kay remained unaware of his presence.

When Kay stepped out of the bathtub and wore the robe, he turned around—only to see Raven standing right there, staring at him.

Kay was about to scream, but Raven quickly covered his mouth with his hand and placed a finger on his own lips, signaling him to stay quiet.

Meanwhile, outside the room, Anna was about to enter when Dave suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her aside.

"How did you get here?" Dave asked.

Anna thought to herself, I can't tell him the truth. Instead, she said,

"I came to see you, Dave."

Hearing this made Dave happy because the moment he had first seen Anna, he had already started liking her. Smiling, he said,

"It's dangerous for you to be here. Let me take you somewhere safe. You can meet me there."

The two of them left together.

Back inside the room, Raven said softly,

"I'm going to remove my hand. Don't scream."

As soon as Raven removed his hand, Kay asked,

"Who are you?"

"I'm Raven," he replied.

Kay looked at him in surprise.

"You're a vampire... You saved my life. What can I do for you?"

Raven slowly stepped closer to him.

"If I ask you to do something, will you do it?" he said quietly.

Kay's breathing became faster as Raven moved even closer.

"Yes," Kay replied.

A faint smile appeared on Raven's lips. He gently placed his hand on Kay's neck and leaned closer, about to kiss him—

But suddenly, they heard footsteps approaching.

Kay quickly stepped away from Raven and looked toward the door to see if someone was coming. When he turned back, Raven had already disappeared.

Kay felt a little uneasy.

How will I meet him again? I didn't even ask where he lives in the vampire city.

Meanwhile, Dave escorted Anna out of Angel City.

"The sun is about to rise," Dave said. "You should go back to the vampire city."

Anna left, but her thoughts were different. Earlier she had only heard about Angel City, but now that she had seen it with her own eyes, she liked it even more. Her desire to possess Angel City grew stronger.

That night, Kay waited for Raven, but he didn't come.

Kay went to bed and tried to sleep, but he felt restless. The only thing on his mind was the same question:

Why didn't Raven come?

Eventually, while thinking about him, Kay fell asleep.

When he opened his eyes the next morning, Raven was standing right in front of him, watching him.

Kay blinked in confusion.

"This must be a dream," Kay murmured. "You can't be here in the morning."

Then he suddenly remembered something.

"What were you going to ask from me? And why did you leave without telling me?"

Raven looked at him calmly.

"This isn't a dream."

"What?!" Kay shouted.

Hearing the noise, Dave knocked on the door.

"Are you alright?"

"Yes, I'm fine," Kay quickly replied. "You can go."

Dave said,

"Alright. Please get ready quickly. His Majesty is waiting for you."

"Okay."

After Dave left, Kay turned to Raven.

"Stay here. I'll take a bath. Don't go anywhere. It's dangerous for you to be outside right now."

Raven simply smiled and nodded.

When Kay returned wearing his robe, Raven was still watching him.

Kay walked closer to him and said again,

"Stay here."

Seeing Kay so close, Raven was losing control. He gripped the pillow tightly, trying to hold himself back.

Kay noticed and held his hand.

"What happened?"

The moment Kay touched him, Raven could no longer control himself. He suddenly pulled Kay onto the bed and leaned over him.

"You shouldn't have held my hand," Raven whispered.

His finger slowly traced over Kay's lips—

But suddenly, the sound of the door opening echoed in the room.

Both of them immediately turned toward the door.
