The episode picks up with the immediate aftermath of Krishna's birth. Followingthe divine instructions, Vasudev has successgully transported the infant Krishna across the raging Yamuna River to Gokul, swapping him with Yashoda's newborn daughter (who is the Yogmaya energy). While Vasudev returns to the prison in Mathura, the energy of the divine begins to shifts the atmosphere of Gokul.

He attempts to kill the baby girl Vasudev brought back, but she transforms into Goddess Durga (Yogmaya), Warning him that his slayer has already been bron and is safe elsewhere. This sets Kansa into a spiral of rage and fear, leading him to order the massacre of all newborns, which foreshadows the coming arrival of the demoness Putana.
