Endless Chaos – Chaos Void Plane: The Path of Belief

Chapter 7 — The First Servant of Faith

The temple on the cliff soon became the heart of the tribe.

Every morning, villagers climbed the stone steps and knelt before the altar. Hunters prayed before entering the forest. Mothers whispered blessings for their children. Even the tribe's elders, who had once trusted only their own strength, now lowered their heads in quiet reverence.

Faith had become part of their lives.

And at the center of it all stood the boy.

The warmth inside his chest had grown stronger each day. Whenever the villagers prayed, he could faintly feel their emotions—hope, fear, gratitude.

It was as if invisible threads connected them to something far beyond the sky.

One evening, as the sun set and the villagers lit torches around the temple, the boy suddenly froze.

A strange feeling spread through his body.

The warmth inside him surged.

He fell to one knee.

The villagers rushed forward in alarm.

"Are you alright?" the chief asked.

But the boy wasn't looking at them.

His eyes were fixed on the sky.

Golden light slowly reflected in his pupils.

In his mind, he saw the same vision from his dream.

An endless ocean of darkness.

And within it…

A growing realm of golden light.

The Belief Realm.

The golden spark hovered above a shining throne, radiating divine warmth across its expanding domain.

This time, the boy could feel its presence clearly.

Not as a distant warmth.

But as a guiding force.

A purpose.

A single thought gently entered his mind.

Protect the faith.

The vision faded.

The boy gasped and stood up slowly.

The villagers watched him with wide eyes.

"What did you see?" the chief asked.

The boy looked around at the people.

At their hopeful faces.

At the temple they had built together.

Then he spoke.

"The protector is real."

A wave of murmurs spread through the crowd.

"And it watches over us," he continued.

"But our faith must grow stronger."

"How?" a hunter asked.

The boy looked toward the temple.

"Some must dedicate their lives to serving the protector."

"To guide others."

"To protect the temple."

"To keep the faith alive."

The villagers exchanged glances.

Finally, the chief stepped forward.

"I will serve."

One by one, others followed.

Hunters. Elders. Even young villagers.

Soon, a small group stood before the boy.

From that moment on, they became the first Priests of Faith.

Far away in the Chaos Void Plane, the Belief Realm reacted instantly.

The moment the first priesthood formed, thousands of belief threads strengthened again.

The golden spark trembled with power.

Faith energy surged through the entire realm.

The temple within the Belief Realm shined brilliantly.

And from the glowing mist surrounding the throne, something began to form.

A shape.

A being.

Wings made of golden light unfolded slowly.

A figure composed entirely of belief energy knelt before the throne.

It had no face.

No identity.

Only purpose.

The first Faith Servant had been born.

The golden spark observed the being calmly.

The servant rose and spread its wings.

Its presence radiated quiet power.

It was neither mortal nor god.

But something in between.

A guardian of faith.

The newborn servant bowed toward the spark before flying toward the edge of the Belief Realm.

Because something had entered the outer chaos currents.

Something enormous.

Something hungry.

At the edge of the golden domain, the chaos sea twisted violently.

Darkness moved like a mountain drifting through the void.

The ancient Chaos Devourer had arrived.

Its colossal body stretched across the chaos currents like a living abyss. Countless broken concepts and fragments of destroyed worlds floated around it.

Its enormous eyes locked onto the glowing Belief Realm.

The divine light reflected in those monstrous eyes.

To the Devourer…

The realm was food.

The creature slowly opened its massive mouth.

Chaos currents spiraled violently toward it.

Inside the Belief Realm, the Faith Servant stopped at the boundary.

Golden wings spread wide.

It faced the approaching monster alone.

The golden spark finally sensed the danger.

For the first time since its birth…

It felt something new.

Threat.

The Chaos Devourer roared silently through the void as it lunged toward the realm.

And the first war of faith…

Was about to begin.
