Endless Chaos – Chaos Void Plane: The Path of Story
Chapter 15 – The Birth of a Story Hero
The four-armed Crimson Knight charged like a storm of steel.
Four massive blades swung toward Raphael at once.
The arena floor shattered beneath each strike.
Raphael dodged backward, wind spiraling around him as he barely avoided the attacks.
One sword slammed down beside him.
BOOOOM!
A deep crater formed in the glowing battlefield.
Raphael exhaled.
"Okay…"
"That thing is definitely stronger than the dragon."
In the stands, Lina gripped the railing.
"Raphael!"
Caelum watched carefully.
"He's being pushed."
"But that may be exactly what his story needs."
Lina blinked.
"What does that mean?"
Caelum answered quietly.
"A legend evolves during crisis."
Back in the arena, Veyron stood confidently.
"You see the difference now."
"Your story is just beginning."
"But mine…"
Scarlet energy surged around him.
"…has already been written."
The crimson knight raised all four swords.
"End this."
The knight lunged again.
Four blades descended like lightning.
Raphael jumped backward.
But this time he didn't counterattack.
Instead…
He closed his eyes.
The entire arena seemed to pause.
Wind gathered quietly around him.
Raphael whispered softly.
"The Dragon Slayer didn't fight alone forever."
The glowing script beneath his feet reacted.
Spectators leaned forward.
Something was changing.
Raphael continued speaking.
"Every legend creates more stories."
"Every hero inspires others."
The Dragon Slayer narrative inside him burned brighter than ever.
And suddenly—
The wind beside him began forming a shape.
A faint figure appeared.
At first it looked like nothing more than a shadow made of air.
But slowly…
The outline became clearer.
A young warrior.
Holding a simple sword.
Standing beside Raphael.
The entire arena gasped.
Caelum's eyes widened.
"…Impossible."
Lina whispered.
"What happened?"
Caelum spoke slowly.
"He manifested a Story Character."
The figure beside Raphael solidified further.
Not fully real like Veyron's knight.
But clearly visible.
A warrior born from the legend.
The First Disciple of the Dragon Slayer.
Raphael blinked in surprise.
"…I didn't plan that."
The wind warrior raised its sword anyway.
The crimson knight attacked again.
Four blades slashed forward.
But this time—
The wind warrior moved first.
It dashed forward with incredible speed.
Its sword clashed with one of the crimson blades.
CLANG!
Raphael swung his arm at the same time.
"Dragon Severing Strike – Rising Gale!"
A spiral slash of wind exploded forward.
BOOOOOM!!
The combined attack smashed into the crimson knight.
The giant warrior staggered backward.
Cracks spread across its armor.
The crowd erupted.
"A double narrative attack!"
"He created a supporting hero!"
"His story is expanding!"
Veyron's calm expression finally shattered.
"That shouldn't be possible for a Seed Rank!"
Raphael shrugged.
"Like I said."
"Writers improvise."
But Veyron's eyes suddenly turned cold.
"Then I'll just take it."
Scarlet ink exploded from his floating book.
Strange symbols spread across the battlefield.
They wrapped around the wind warrior Raphael had created.
The crowd gasped again.
"What is that?"
Caelum's expression darkened.
"…Story Theft."
The scarlet symbols tightened.
Trying to pull the wind warrior toward Veyron's narrative.
Veyron smiled cruelly.
"Your story character will make a perfect addition to mine."
Lina shouted from the stands.
"That's cheating!"
Caelum shook his head.
"No."
"It's one of the most feared abilities among storytellers."
"If he succeeds…"
"Raphael's story will weaken."
The wind warrior flickered violently as the two narratives fought for control.
Raphael frowned.
"…Oh."
"You're stealing my character?"
Veyron laughed.
"Stories belong to the strong."
Scarlet energy surged stronger.
The wind warrior began drifting toward Veyron.
But Raphael suddenly laughed.
"Sorry."
"That's not how this story works."
He stepped forward.
Wind exploded outward.
The Dragon Slayer legend flared brighter than ever.
Raphael raised his arm again.
"This hero…"
"…belongs to my legend."
The wind warrior stabilized beside him.
Its sword lifted again.
And the battle inside the Narrative Arena was about to reach its climax.
High above the arena balcony…
Lady Seraphel smiled faintly.
"The boy has talent."
She watched Raphael carefully.
"Perhaps…"
"…the Path of Story truly has a new author."
