Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Threatening Itachi

As expected, when school ended, I didn't get any'slacking off' points today.

"System, I only taught the students Ninjutsu for fifteen minutes. You wouldn't deny me a reward, would you? Otherwise, I'll just go back to slacking off. I feel like the Kizaru template is enough."

[Host, if your slacking off time doesn't meet the stipulated duration, the system will not issue rewards. This has nothing to do with me. I am a system spirit, a part of the system, and cannot control the system, so you should think of other methods!]

"Sigh!" Mitsusuke was a bit speechless. He had been slacking off perfectly fine before, so why did a system suddenly appear? Then, he remembered something.

"By the way, System, how much is Chakra +7 that you mentioned? Give me a comparison standard! Otherwise, I won't know how much Chakra +7 is."

[Host, this is easy to understand. Chakra +7 is roughly when Kakashi is at full power. That is to say, if you complete this mission, your Chakra reserves will be twice that of Kakashi.]

[As long as you keep doing the system's missions, your Chakra reserves will surpass those of a Tailed Beast, or even the Ten-Tails. By then, you'll be able to use the Glint-Glint Fruit without restraint.]

[Host, let me remind you of one thing: the Glint-Glint Fruit consumes a lot of Chakra. With your current Chakra reserves, you can basically only form the hilt of a kusanagi sword, and it will disappear after five seconds. As for a Laser beam, you can only use it once.]

[When you achieve full elementalization in the future, the amount of Chakra required will be massive, so hurry up and complete the missions!]

For some reason, after hearing the system's explanation, he didn't want this system anymore. Slacking off was fine, teaching was fine, but combining slacking off and teaching was too tormenting.

As soon as Mitsusuke arrived home, he heard someone knocking. He didn't even need to think; it was either Shisui or Asuma. Because Might Guy was out on a mission, no one else would usually come besides the three of them.

Opening the door, Mitsusuke saw Shisui standing at his doorstep with several boxes, looking a bit embarrassed: "Mitsusuke, the elders kicked me out of the clan compound. The clan head told me to stay with you for a few days; he'll convince the elders."

Reaching out to take the boxes Shisui brought, Mitsusuke turned and walked towards the living room: "Come in! My parents' room is still empty, so you can stay there!"

Shisui didn't stand on ceremony, picked up the remaining boxes, and followed Mitsusuke into the house.

After they entered, Mitsusuke started cooking, while Shisui went upstairs to tidy the room. He was very familiar with Mitsusuke's house and didn't need guidance.

The meal was very simple: a few rice balls, a plate of sashimi, and a bottle of sake.

Given his financial situation, this was his daily fare. It used to be better, but after being blacklisted by the casino, his living conditions deteriorated again.

After they sat down, Mitsusuke poured himself a cup of sake. Since Shisui didn't drink, he didn't pour any for him.

Shisui picked up a rice ball and ate it absentmindedly.

Mitsusuke took a sip of his sake, feeling it was too light. He thought that when he had money, he would get some 'Water of Life' to drink. In his previous life, he loved mixing 'Water of Life' with iced Sprite; the taste was incredibly refreshing.

Just as Mitsusuke was thinking about brewing alcohol, Shisui put down the rice ball in his hand: "Mitsusuke, why can't the Uchiha live well? Why must they always be at odds with the Village? We are all inheritors of the Will of Fire, why can't we coexist harmoniously?"

Mitsusuke had no good solution for Shisui's naivety and could only comfort him: "Shisui, the matter between the Uchiha and the Village is very complicated, and Danzo Shimura is also involved."

"As the saying goes, 'it's not bad things you fear, but bad people.' Now, the Uchiha's situation is no longer just about arguing over a coup; someone is forcing you to stage a coup. So, if you want to change the relationship between the Uchiha and the Village, then don't meddle in anything."

"With no communication channel between the Village and the Uchiha, both sides might calm down, as they won't act rashly without understanding the true situation."

"And you, absolutely do not become cannon fodder for the Uchiha, and don't let the Hokage and Danzo use you."

"As a member of the Sarutobi Clan, it's indeed inappropriate to speak of the Hokage this way, but I still have to tell you that no one in the Konoha high command is trustworthy, especially the Hokage. You'll understand some things later."

Shisui was shocked by Mitsusuke's words. He didn't expect him to speak of the Hokage like that.

Looking at Shisui's surprised expression, Mitsusuke took another sip of sake, then put down his glass: "Shisui, what I said today is the last time I'll say it. If you want to save the Uchiha, don't get involved with them anymore. Otherwise, you're very likely to become a casualty of this political game, which is something I don't want to see."

"One more thing, stay away from Uchiha Itachi in the future. That little brother of yours is no longer the person he was before; he has been completely brainwashed. If you spend too much time with him, I'm afraid you'll become foolish too."

"Again, give me six years, and I will resolve the issues between the Uchiha and the Village. Let's eat!"

The two didn't continue their conversation and quietly finished dinner.

After dinner, Mitsusuke left the house, using the excuse of visiting Asuma.

After leaving, Mitsusuke walked towards the Hokage Rock. Upon reaching the top of the Hokage Rock, he looked down at Konoha and said, "Come out! You've been eavesdropping outside since I was eating, and now you're following me. You must have something you want to say to me, right?"

As soon as Mitsusuke finished speaking, a dark figure jumped from a tree behind him: "Sarutobi Mitsusuke, I have a question for you, and I hope you can give me an answer."

Mitsusuke glanced sideways at Itachi, who was wearing a mask, and a cold sneer appeared on his lips.

Honestly, he didn't like Itachi, a butcher who massacred his own clan.

In the original story, if he had killed Sasuke as well, Mitsusuke might have thought more highly of him.

But Itachi specifically left Sasuke alive and spouted a bunch of nonsense to him.

Enjoying the benefits of the Uchiha, yet acting against his own clan—Mitsusuke looked down on such a person.

Why should one Sasuke represent the Uchiha? Even if he could, why him and not someone else? What made Sasuke so special?

Turning around, Mitsusuke looked at Itachi and said, "If you can eliminate the hardliners, and then have your father resign as clan head, letting Shisui become the clan head, I guarantee that I will resolve the issues between the Uchiha and the Village in six years. This is my promise to you. As for how you do it, that's up to you."

"But if you dare to lay a hand on any other Uchiha, I guarantee Sasuke will die during a mission. The Uchiha won't miss just one Sasuke anyway."
