Chapter 5 - System rewards

Main storyline completed. Reward: one dimensional draw.

Instant Kill triggered—secondary reward granted.

Inside Kirito's mind, a massive arsenal warehouse appeared.

At a glance, the enormous space was filled with countless weapons—swords, spears, guns, cannons, tanks, warships, aircraft. Weapons from both cold and modern eras stood side by side, an overwhelming collection from different ages and dimensions.

Kirito glanced around curiously.

The warehouse was unimaginably vast. Standing inside it, he felt as insignificant as an ant.

However, with his easygoing personality, he didn't get lost in the spectacle before him. After all, he only had one draw opportunity.

That meant he could take only a single weapon from the countless ones stored here.

There were plenty of things he wanted—but only one chance.

Instead of staring endlessly at the tempting arsenal, Kirito simply activated the draw.

Immediately, the massive weapon warehouse in front of him began dissolving into streams of data.

When everything settled, only weapons of the blade category remained scattered across the ground.

"So this time it's a cold weapon…" Kirito murmured.

The various blades—long swords, short swords, daggers of different shapes and sizes—slowly floated into the air.

All of them pointed downward.

Then they began to spin.

Faster and faster.

The rotation accelerated until the blades became nothing but a halo of light, impossible to distinguish with the naked eye.

Ding.

A black weapon—something between a short sword and a dagger—fell gently at Kirito's feet.

"Assassin's Blade."

Kirito picked up the dark weapon. It resembled a short sword, yet it could also be considered a larger dagger.

For simplicity, he decided to call it a short blade.

Information about the weapon immediately appeared in his mind.

Attribute Bonus:

Agility +20

Weapon Talent:

Mastery of concealed weapons rises to Expert Level.

Passive Skill:

Presence Concealment — Hides the user's presence. When remaining still, detection becomes nearly impossible. In darkness, the user can achieve a form of physical and mental invisibility. Passive effect decreases by 80% when entering an attack state.

Acquired Skill:

Delusional Phantom

This skill projects the user's will, spirit, and consciousness into independent shadow entities. Each shadow possesses its own thinking ability and combat capability.

The number of projections depends on the user's energy, with a maximum of eighty.

In simple terms, the attribute bonus increased Kirito's speed.

The weapon talent meant his ability to use weapons like shuriken and kunai had been elevated to an extremely high technical level.

Presence Concealment allowed him to hide his existence.

As for Delusional Phantom, it was somewhat similar to the Shadow Clone Technique—but also fundamentally different.

Shadow clones disappeared when struck and returned their chakra and gathered information back to the original body. The user would lose chakra but suffer no direct injury.

Delusional Phantom was different.

These shadows had to be truly killed to disappear.

And when they died, a portion of the damage would be reflected back to the original body.

Each technique had its own advantages and disadvantages.

Compared to shadow clones, however, these phantom shadows possessed independent thought and unique abilities.

Some might specialize in close combat.

Others in dagger assassinations.

Some in long-range throwing attacks.

And some could even stay behind the scenes to analyze strategies.

All of these abilities came with the weapon Kirito had just drawn.

Since he hadn't tested them yet, he couldn't judge whether this draw was good or bad.

But even if he disliked the result, there was no way to change it.

So Kirito simply accepted it without overthinking.

Next, he used the secondary reward triggered by the Instant Kill.

Since it was merely an extra reward, it was naturally much simpler than the system draw.

A black tight-fitting outfit suddenly appeared in front of him.

Kirito caught it with one hand, and another system notification sounded.

Basic Combat Technique Lv.1 — Initial Comprehension

The skill could be upgraded through accumulated combat experience.

With that, the system rewards were complete.

Kirito's consciousness returned to the real world.

With a thought, the plain black short blade appeared in his hand.

It had no decorations or patterns—pure black and deadly.

Soon after, the weapon in his hand began changing forms.

Short blade.

Dagger.

Sleeve arrow.

Short spear.

Stiletto.

Various assassination-type weapons appeared and disappeared in rapid succession.

A look of realization flashed in Kirito's eyes.

"So the so-called Assassin's Blade… doesn't refer to a single weapon."

"It refers to an entire category of weapons."

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Several blades shot out rapidly.

They embedded themselves into the wall, forming a large character that read "Kill."

With a simple wave of his hand, the blades dissolved into particles of light and disappeared.

"They can be summoned anytime… and recalled just as easily."

"What a convenient system ability."

After playing around with his new abilities for a while, Kirito soon felt his physical stamina draining quickly.

"So that's one of the weaknesses of an assassin-type build…"

Normally, casually handling these light weapons wouldn't consume much energy.

The main stamina drain clearly came from the ability to freely project and recall the weapons at will.

After finishing his weapon test, Kirito began examining the changes in his body.

He quickly noticed that his flexibility had increased dramatically.

For example—

He could easily perform a midair split.

Flip into a handstand.

Twist his arms beyond their previous limits.

It felt as though every bone in his body had become incredibly agile.

His movement speed had also increased to more than double what it used to be.

Even his jumping power had improved significantly.

This was the effect of the Agility attribute boost.

Kirito then began practicing his newly acquired combat techniques.

Punches.

Sweeping kicks.

Elbow strikes.

Flying knee attacks.

His powerful movements sliced through the air with fierce momentum.

If Might Guy—the master of Konoha's Strong Fist style—had seen this, he would surely have been full of praise.

Unfortunately…

This was the Hyuga clan estate.

A noble family that had practiced the Gentle Fist style for generations.

A Hyuga clan member standing inside the Hyuga compound—training in the Strong Fist style.

The sight was undeniably strange.

Practicing in secret would have been one thing.

But unfortunately, while Kirito was completely absorbed in his training, he failed to notice something.

A group from the Hyuga main family was approaching from the distance.
