"...Why me..."
Depression, anxiety, hatred, this was a voice that embraced those feelings and projected them out with two simple words. It was a tone that was treading on the edge of insanity, a tone which gave up any and all hope.
A boy laid flat against the asphalt ground, rugged and sharp on his body, though what stood out the most was the crimson liquid spreading out from underneath.
His breathing was ragged, his breath caught in his throat while his lungs filled up with blood.
Though despite the pain, he could not scream or even groan. Accepting the situation as if fate has already decided it was his time to go.
"OH MAN! AHAHAH! THAT WAS A GOOD ONE!"
The booming voice shook the boy awake, the heat that was welling up in his body was suddenly gone, though he noticed that he could not feel any sort of temperature.
"Hakai, you've entertained us greatly with that performance of helplessness. To keep it short, we'll be sending you to another world for more, so keep us entertained."
That same voice proclaimed with peak amusement, yet Hakai could not process what was happening.
Confusion was clearly evident on Hakai's spectral face, gazing amongst the overly massive entities of light that surrounded him.
The Realm Of Ashen - Kingdom Of Inu
Light broke through the darkened void as wavelengths matched the retinas of ocean blue eyes.
Eyelids fluttered open with heavy fatigue, darting aroound to take in the surrounding.
Then it was finally revealed to Hakai that he was trapped in a experimental tube filled with a strange liquid and many metallic needles stuck in his body, connected to strange equipment that seemingly controlled the tube.
"Perfect. Welcome to this world project Z...The God Killer."
A muffled masculine voice proclaimed from outside the tube, observing the now awakened Hakai with a wicked smile.
The tube was eventually opened after the mysterious liquid was cleared out, introducing Hakai to the new world.
"...huh?...where...am I?"
Hakai called out with a pitch of a tanner, revealing the youthfulness within his tone. This undoubtedly caught him by surprise as memories of his previous life began to fill the gaps in his mind.
The gruesome torture he's endured for years from his previous life and now this life had caused him to clutch his head in pain, tears running down his face while he banged his head against the ground, trying to forget the painful experiences but to no avail.
While Hakai was experiencing an extreme mental breakdown, individuals adorning cloaks had surrounded him, weidling various melee weapons as a way to defend themselves against the maniac.
'...I was nothing but a plaything...my entire life...meaningless...those pieces of shit need to die...'
Hakai was now curled up in a ball, his body shivering from the traumatic flashes of his previous life still processing through the mind of his current body.
That was until he suddenly stopped moving all together.
"...Fine... I'll do it myself..."
Hakai voice was ruthless and void of emotion. Slowly, he stood up with his head still tilted down, his gaze staring hard at the floor and his fist clenched so tight it nearly drew blood.
"I'll be the one...to kill those gods..."
His tone was one of absolute certainty, filled with unadulterated rage that could bring even the mightiest of mental fortitude down.
THE CROWNED STAR OF CALAMITY - THE GOD KILLER
It has been a few months since Hakai reincarnated into a new world, ruled by the same gods who caused his previous life a living hell for amusement.
During this time, he was trained by masked and cloaked assailants who revered to themselves as 'the apostles of chaos', making it their goal to destroy the gods by creating a being so powerful it would bring those deities to their knee's.
Their goal was to create a calamity.
This meant that Hakai had went through various hellish training to build his physical condition, while also studying rigoursly to understand the concept of magik.
In the realm of ashen, it was clearly evident that dragon's were the superior species above all, second to the deities themselves which many concluded that they were the favourite species, given their immense magik power.
The elven species were third and human's were fourth with sub-species being ranked in a hierarchy amongst their own species.
With this knowledge, the rebellious group had gathered blood from the strongest individual's from each species throughout the year's, combining them into a vessel with the help of forbidden alchemy.
When Hakai learned about this, he grew curious of his true potential and felt as if it was too good to be true. Though fortunately for him, it was true.
training ground facility...
Hakai stood across from multiple cloaked assailants. His eyes were honed and narrowed on each and every one of them, and the moment his eyes caught a subtle twitch of a leg, he shot towards the individual who plotted to initiate the attack.
His speed was swift, almost as if he was moving with the wind itself, his steps carried no weight and the pressure of his speed barely shifting the grass blades.
This no doubt shocked the first cloaked man, having no time to react as Hakai practically appeared right in front the man, though Hakai did hesitate as to allow the man to strike as a bait.
Fortunately for Hakai, the man took the bait and attempted a quick jab, to which Hakai tilted his head to the side a bit to narrowly avoid it.
Then Hakai extended out his hand to latch onto the assailant outstretched arm, his iron grip making it impossible for the man to escape.
"Next time...fight to kill."
Hakai finally spoke again for the third time this month while he was here, utilizing the cloaked man's body to shield himself from two different attacks that landed on the cloaked man's back.
Hakai then followed with a kick to the first initial assailant chest, which not only ripped the arm from the socket but sent the assailant reeling back, with enough force to knock away the other two cloaked assailants.
This resulted in the other's hesitating to approach Hakai in fear of what he'll do to them, despite this being a training match.
"If you can't keep up with me. You die."
Hakai stated with cold simplicity, his tone void of any emotion and his sharp gaze glued on every claoked assailant.
"That's enough Project Z...we have a mission for you"
A feminine voice proclaimed from an intercom, which earned a sigh of relief from the cloaked individuals.
"Okay."
Hakai replied with an even tone still void of any shred of morality, his half-lidded eyes staring at the giant wall of glass perched alnesr the ceiling of the training facility.
In the next moment, he was standing behind that glass and in front of a blonde haired woman, adorned in a white lab coat and blue latex gloves.
"You've received orders from the master to eliminate the apostle of war. He is located at Ashen Academy in the main capital. You start the academy tomorrow and you have a month to do so."
The blonde scientist proclaimed in a calm tone and indifferent expression but behind that mask of indifference, she was terrified being in the presence of Hakai.
"Very well. I'll see to it, that it's done."
Hakai replied in a curtly manner, turning his back to her and exiting the room with nothing else said.
After his departure, the woman sighed a breath of relief as if she avoided death by a hair's length.
"Just what did we make..."
The woman questioned aloud, watching Hakai retreating figure head towards the exit of the facility.
'...the apostle of war huh...now watch as everything you creatures built be destroyed...'
Hakai exclaimed in his mind with rage beyond reasoning, yet his expression remained indifferent as he left the facility and towards his new destination.
