Chapter 8 - The Dark Fairy

When people talk about future plans, many questions could be asked, but Lucy would never have found herself having to ask her older brother these kinds of things.

"A bar?"

"More like a cabaret," he replied, leafing through a magazine, his sister's head resting on his lap. "But it's true that alcohol can be served."

"You never really seemed like you wanted to become a bartender," she said this time with a lot of confusion.

After all, his white-haired knight seems more the type to want to help his fellow man or patiently listen to all the worries of humanity…

Okay. This last point could certainly define a bartender.

"Actually, it's mostly thanks to you," he confesses, blushing slightly as her sapphire blue eyes turn to him. "I spent a lot of time thinking about what I do best, and I realized that I love listening, making people laugh. And above all, I want to open a place that will define us, you and me."

Fiddling with her index fingers while biting her lower lip, the young goth girl told herself that no matter how unreal it seemed, sometimes she thought she truly understood everything about the mechanics of the heart, but she couldn't quite believe it…

She falls more and more in love with her boyfriend.

"So we're going to run a cabaret?" she asks more timidly. Because yes, this project certainly implies many things still unsaid between them, and she hopes with all her heart that it will have something to do with a ring.

"Yes," he chuckled, tossing aside the now-boring book. Smiling more broadly, he leaned down to kiss her chastely. "And, in your honor, my fair lady, we shall call her Morrigan."

"A goddess of war considered a dark witch and a fairy?" she smiled, wrapping her arms around Lincoln's neck, who was more than happy to lift her into his lap. Now facing his face, the brunette bestowed upon him a more tender kiss. "You really know how to please a lady."

Laughing softly, they embraced and kissed lovingly. Their foreheads pressed together, they felt their fierce heartbeats once more, their chests trembling with pleasure. His hands gently caressed his sister's back, and she lifted slightly at the touch. Not that she didn't appreciate it—quite the contrary—but until now they had never crossed that line in their relationship, not feeling that the time had come to fully indulge their sin.

Lucy is not afraid. Whether she gives herself to him today or later, she knows that no regrets will come from this union between her and her beloved, only happiness and perhaps a happy event.

Her mind racing at this thought, Lucy smiled happily as the redness of her cheeks became more visible to her brother, who gently ran his thumb over her visible cheek.

"What are you thinking about?" he asks in his gently curious voice.

"I love you," she said suddenly. "And I don't think I can stop."

Although surprised by this declaration, he continued to smile at her before their lips met once more. When the kiss was over, he whispered to her from the bottom of his heart.

"And I never want to stop."
