Eras
The history of this world is traditionally divided into three primary eras.
The Ancient World — spans the period from approximately 5000 to 2000 years before the Age of Awakening. This was the golden age of ancient civilizations, whose legacy would later be almost entirely lost.
The Dark Ages — a two-thousand-year period lying between the Ancient World and the Age of Awakening. An era of decline, fragmentation, and oblivion, when the knowledge of the past vanished and history turned into legend.
The Age of Awakening — our present time. A period marked by the return of lost knowledge and attempts to comprehend the past, the consequences of which are still felt to this day.
