Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 — Lessons in Strategy and Diplomacy

The academy was not only a place for combat. Students learned diplomacy, strategy, and the delicate art of leadership. Aseel excelled here as well, guided by the fragments of wisdom from his past life.

When disputes arose between students—elves quarreling with dark elves over territorial mock battles, humans arguing with beastmen over training grounds—Aseel intervened. Calm, fair, and insightful, he mediated disagreements, often proposing solutions that left both sides satisfied.

Lyra often observed him in awe. "You think faster than anyone else here," she said quietly one evening as they walked through the gardens. "It's… like you've lived before."

Aseel smiled faintly, remembering the truth he could not yet share. "Experience… and observation are powerful teachers. But empathy matters too. Strength without understanding is worthless."

The bond between him and his friends deepened. Seraphina learned to trust his judgment even when her pride screamed otherwise. Mara and Kaida became fiercely loyal, willing to risk everything to protect him. These relationships, he knew, would form the foundation of the alliances he would one day need—not only for power but for survival.

Even rival students began to respect him, albeit reluctantly. His reputation grew across the academy, whispered in corridors and shouted in training halls: The reincarnated king… the child who wields all elements… the one destined to surpass legends.
