Chapter 130 - 130

130: Chapter 130 ChoiceKai, carrying Hong, ran as fast as the wind.

Red doesn't look heavy, but my arms are actually a bit sore from carrying it for so long.

His frantic run, coupled with the side effects of opening the seven gates earlier, has left him at his limit.

He had no other thoughts in his mind but to find a doctor as soon as possible; those tiny cuts all over his body looked painful.

Just as he rushed to the village entrance, he bumped into a travel-worn man hurrying in, and the two almost collided.

"Oh my god!"

Kai slammed on the brakes, regained his balance, and looked up."Asuma?"

He had just finished a difficult and long-term mission when he received news of the incident in the village: the elder had been assassinated and Hong was also injured. He rushed back in a hurry.

At this moment, he looked at the red one that Kai was holding in his arms.

Her eyes were closed, her cheek resting against Kai's signature green bodysuit.A few stray strands of hair were stuck to her forehead by raindrops, making her look exceptionally fragile, yet also inexplicably docile.

Asma's heart skipped a beat, as if she had been gently pricked by something; she felt a little stuffy and blocked up.

His relationship with Hong has been ambiguous for so many years, like a thin layer of paper separating them, and neither of them has dared to break through it.

But now.

Kaker didn't think much of it.When he saw Asuma, his eyes lit up as if he had found a savior. He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Asuma! You're back just in time!Kurenai is injured and has lost a lot of blood.I have to get her to the hospital right away!"

Without waiting for Asma's reply, he grabbed Red and darted past him in a flash, leaving behind a gust of green wind.

Asma opened his mouth, but the words he wanted to say got stuck in his throat. In the end, he could only let out a helpless sigh, looking in the direction where they disappeared, feeling both worried and bitter.

When Kai shouted that, her red eyelashes trembled slightly.

She secretly opened her eyes a crack and saw Asma standing at the village entrance, looking at them with a complicated expression.

Oh no, why did this have to happen at this time?

Hong felt her face getting hot, and her mind was in a mess.

Forget it, I'll just keep playing dead. It'll be even more awkward to talk now.

She steeled herself and remained unconscious, her body involuntarily shrinking back.

Kai sensed her movement and thought she was cold or uncomfortable, so he hugged her tighter and quickened his pace.

Kai had no idea that the girl in his arms was going through a mental struggle.

He rushed into Konoha Hospital, yelling at the top of his lungs, "Doctor!Doctor!Come quick!A seriously injured patient!"

Several medical ninjas rushed over and hurriedly took Kurenai from the bed and placed her on it for examination.

After watching the doctor examine her, put her on an IV drip, and confirm that she had simply lost too much blood and needed to rest, Kai finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Only after leaving the hospital did he truly sense that something was wrong in the village.

Pedestrians hurried along the street, few of them smiling.

The ninjas all had solemn expressions.

A tense atmosphere, like the impending storm, filled the air.

He then remembered that on his way back he seemed to have heard someone say that Elder Mitomon En had been assassinated at home.

Kai's mood suddenly turned heavy.

He propped himself up on his knees, dragged his weary body, and went to the memorial stone.

The funeral has ended, but many people are still there paying their respects.

Kai silently stepped forward, presented a white flower, and bowed deeply.

Although he was not familiar with this elder, as a fellow Konoha ninja, he shared the same grief.

Just as he was about to leave, he saw Asma again.

Asuma had just finished the memorial service and was standing not far away, looking at him, as if he had something to say.

The two walked to the side.

"Hong.how is she?"

Asma took out a cigarette, about to light it, but after glancing at the atmosphere around him, he irritably put the cigarette back in and asked in a low voice.

Kai scratched his spiky black hair: "The doctor said he lost too much blood and has many cuts from the wire mesh on his body.He needs to recuperate in the hospital for a while, but he's not in any danger, so don't worry!"

Asma hummed in agreement and nodded, her gaze drifting towards the hospital, unsure of what else to say.

Silence fell between them, broken only by the rustling of the wind through the leaves.

After a long while, Asuma took a deep breath and called out, "Let's go, the assembled team should be setting off soon."

On the other side, the Wave Country Trading Company.

Naruto went to the ward where Killer Bee was.

Kirabi was still lying there, with several tubes attached to his body. The instruments next to him were beeping. His complexion was a little better than before, but he was still unconscious.

The Fourth Raikage, A, stood like a gatekeeper in front of the hospital bed, watching his younger brother without moving.

Hearing footsteps, the Raikage turned around and saw Naruto. His usually grumpy and stern face softened, even showing some respect.

He clasped his hands in a very solemn gesture towards Naruto, then bowed deeply, performing a standard salute.

"President Naruto," Raikage's voice was deep and powerful, "this time, thanks to you and the Chamber of Commerce."

He straightened up, looking intently at Naruto."From now on, you are my and Kumogakure's best friend! If you ever need my help or Kumogakure's help, just ask!I, A, will face any danger and hardship without hesitation.May I be struck by lightning!"

Naruto smiled and waved his hand: "Lord Raikage, you flatter me.It is only right for allies to help each other."

Raikage shook his head, offering no further pleasantries.

He glanced at Killer Bee on the bed and said to Naruto, "I'll leave the rest of things to the Chairman and Lady Tsunade.I have to go back to Kumogakure."

"We've been away for too long, and the villagers must be worried.Besides, the village has just gone through a major disaster and everything needs to be rebuilt. We need someone to stay and oversee things."

Naruto expressed his understanding: "Have a safe journey, Raikage. With Killer Bee here, you can rest assured."

He personally escorted Raikage to the Chamber of Commerce dock and watched him board.Naruto boarded the ship returning to the Land of Lightning and turned to walk back.

As darkness fell, the lights of the Chamber of Commerce headquarters came on.

Naruto went back to his room to rest.

Pushing open the door, I saw only a dim wall lamp lit up inside.

He had barely stepped inside when he stopped abruptly.

There are people in the room.

A faint, cool fragrance lingered in the air.

In the dim light, he saw Samui standing in the center of the room.

She changed out of her shiny but bulky armor.

At this moment, she was wearing an outfit that was hard to describe.

Like a modified version of the Cloud Hidden style, it is slightly cool and refreshing. The joints are covered with supple dark leather, outlining an amazing curve. The waist is tied with a metal buckle, and the hem is designed like a battle skirt.

It retains the sleekness of combat attire while adding a touch of intrigue.

Her short hair also seemed to have been carefully styled, with a few strands hanging down beside her cheeks.

When she saw Naruto come in, Samui looked up, her blue-green eyes sparkling in the dim light.

She didn't speak, but slowly took a step forward.

The movement was subtle, but the intention was clear.

Naruto raised an eyebrow, looking at her attire and then at the expression on her face that was both resolute and slightly shy, and he roughly understood what was going on.

Samui's heart pounded even faster when he saw that Samui was not speaking and was just looking at him.

She took a deep breath, as if using all her strength, and took another step forward.

Between the two, their breathing became so soft that it was audible.

Naruto could feel the heat emanating from her.

She raised her eyes, bravely meeting his gaze, her voice trembling yet exceptionally clear.

"Chairman.Samui, come and fulfill your promise."

After she finished speaking, she didn't give Naruto any more chances to refuse.

His entire weight, carrying that unique stubbornness, gently leaned in.

It's like a ship that has finally found a harbor after a long voyage, or like a weary warrior who has handed over his sword.

No further words were spoken.

A sigh of relief seemed to echo in the air.

The dim light stretched the gradually shifting shadows on the ground into long, long shadows, until they blurred and merged into one, indistinguishable from one another.

Outside the window, a light drizzle had begun, the raindrops gently tapping on the glass, as if playing a soft and melodious accompaniment for this quiet and private night.
