Chapter 1 - Unnamed

Title: The Adventurer of Light and shadow

In a distant land called Ravenia, the world had almost forgotten what peace looked like. Long years of war had turned beautiful cities into ruins and forests into silent battlefields. Smoke often covered the sky, and fear lived in the hearts of the people.

In this broken world lived an orphan girl named Alina Starkov.

Alina lost her parents during the war when she was very young. Since then, she grew up in a small orphanage in a quiet village. Life there was simple, but it was never easy. While the other children played outside, Alina often sat alone with paper and charcoal, drawing mountains, rivers, and roads.

She had a rare gift—she could draw maps better than anyone.

Her old teacher at the orphanage once said,

"Alina doesn't just draw the world… she understands it."

As she grew older, her talent became known across the region. Eventually, the royal army recruited her as a mapmaker. Her job was to help soldiers navigate dangerous lands and avoid enemy territories.

One day, the army announced a dangerous mission.

They needed to travel through a mysterious place called The Shadow Fold.

The Shadow Fold was a massive land covered in eternal darkness. Thick black fog filled the air, and strange creatures were said to live there. Long ago, a terrible battle had cursed the land, leaving it trapped in darkness forever.

Very few people dared to enter it.

But the army had no choice.

On the morning of the journey, Alina stood beside her best friend Mal, a brave soldier who had grown up with her in the orphanage.

Mal smiled and asked,

"Are you scared?"

Alina gave a small laugh.

"Maybe… but every great adventure begins with fear."

Soon their boat sailed into the Shadow Fold.

The moment they entered, the light disappeared. The sky turned black, the air became cold, and strange sounds echoed around them.

Then suddenly—

A loud screech filled the darkness.

Winged shadow monsters attacked the boat.

Soldiers shouted, swords clashed, and chaos spread everywhere. One creature swooped down toward Mal, its claws ready to strike.

Alina felt panic rising inside her.

But then something strange happened.

A burning warmth suddenly spread through her chest. Within seconds, a brilliant golden light burst out from her body.

The darkness around them lit up like sunrise.

The shadow creatures screamed as the light touched them. Unable to bear it, they fled back into the darkness.

Silence fell over the boat.

Everyone stared at Alina in shock.

No one had ever seen such power before.

After this event, Alina was taken to the royal capital. There she met a group of powerful magical warriors known as the Grisha.

Their mysterious leader, General Kirigan, studied her carefully.

"You are not ordinary," he said. "You possess the power of the sun."

He explained that an ancient prophecy once spoke of a person who would bring light strong enough to destroy the Shadow Fold forever.

But not everyone welcomed this news.

Hidden in the kingdom were followers of dark magic who believed the Shadow Fold should never disappear. The darkness gave them power, and Alina's light threatened everything they controlled.

So they began plotting in secret.

One night, Alina heard shouting outside her room in the palace. When she looked out the window, she saw dark-cloaked warriors invading the palace.

Mal burst into the room.

"They're here for you!" he said. "We have to leave now!"

Together they escaped into the night on horseback.

Thus began their true adventure.

They traveled across frozen mountains, through dangerous forests, and past ancient ruins. Along the way they faced bandits, wild beasts, and mysterious puzzles left behind by ancient civilizations.

One evening they arrived near a giant volcano called Fire Mountain. Hidden at its base was an ancient temple said to hold the secrets of the sun's power.

Inside the temple, they found something incredible.

A massive stone map of the entire world was carved into the floor.

Curious, Alina placed her hand on the map.

Instantly, her light appeared again.

The glowing energy spread across the stone map like rivers of sunlight. Slowly, a new path appeared—one leading directly to the heart of the Shadow Fold.

At that moment, Alina understood her true gift.

She didn't just draw maps.

She could see paths of light even in the deepest darkness.

Mal looked at her seriously.

"Are you really going to face that darkness again?"

Alina looked toward the distant horizon and took a deep breath.

"Yes," she said quietly. "Because if I don't… no one else will."

Ahead of them waited the greatest adventure of all.

The Shadow Fold.

The monsters within it.

And the ancient mystery hidden at its center.

But this time, the darkness would not stand alone.

Because standing against it was a girl whose power burned like the sun.
