At that moment, Thor was surrounded by thousands of bolts of lightning.
Brilliant arcs of electricity twisted and coiled around his body like living serpents. Thunder roared endlessly as the storm gathered around him, making him look like the very center of a raging thundercloud. The violent energy surged outward with terrifying intensity as he launched himself toward Leon.
"Boom—!"
His speed instantly exceeded the speed of sound. A series of sonic booms exploded behind him while shockwaves rippled through the surrounding air. The sheer force of his movement rattled nearby structures and shattered windows.
By any ordinary standard, such power truly deserved the title of a god.
Unfortunately, that comparison only held true when measured against normal humans.
For Leon, Thor was simply a slightly stronger individual.
At that moment Thor's body shot forward like a blazing meteor. The tremendous force of his launch caused the damaged building behind him to tremble violently, as though it might collapse at any moment.
His speed was like lightning itself.
In a single instant, Thor appeared directly in front of Leon. Wind howled violently around him as he raised Mjolnir high above his head. The hammer carried immense divine power, wrapped in countless electric arcs as it came crashing down toward Leon.
"Boom—!"
The impact created a thunderous explosion of sound. The air itself seemed scorched by the energy released in that moment.
Leon looked up at the dazzling storm of lightning descending toward him.
Then he chuckled softly.
Without making any visible movement, the space directly in front of him suddenly tore open.
It was as if someone had sliced open the curtain of reality itself. A dark crack appeared instantly, forming a passage that seemed to lead into an endless abyss. The opening resembled a gigantic mouth, ready to devour anything that came near it.
Thor flew straight into it.
"Humm…"
There was only a faint vibrating sound.
The crack in space immediately contracted and sealed shut. The structure of reality returned to normal as if nothing had ever happened.
But Thor, the God of Thunder, had completely disappeared.
Only then did several glowing magical runes appear around Leon's body. They shimmered with a crystal-like clarity, almost as if they were fragments of space itself. Each rune glowed softly, reflecting faint light like polished gemstones.
Leon calmly spread his hands apart.
A magical formation appeared in each of his palms.
As his hands moved, another crack opened in the air a short distance away. In the next instant, a figure shot out of it.
It was Thor.
But before he could even react or land on the ground, another spatial crack opened directly beneath him.
He was swallowed again.
Immediately afterward, Thor fell out of the crack above. Then he dropped into the lower crack once more.
Again and again.
Up.
Down.
Up.
Down.
The cycle repeated endlessly.
"Aa—aa—aa—aa—!"
Thor's body moved so quickly that it blurred into a streak of shadow. His screams stretched together into a single continuous sound as he fell again and again through the infinite loop.
Leon simply watched with a faint smile.
Soon Thor's figure became impossible to distinguish clearly. Between the two spatial rifts, only a long black blur could be seen connecting them. The shape was formed by the afterimages of Thor's endlessly falling body.
The screaming merged into one long sound.
Thor was trapped in an infinite fall.
Meanwhile, Leon's gaze shifted toward the other Asgardians who had accompanied Thor. Each of them possessed enormous strength and destructive potential.
But at this moment, they remained frozen in mid-air.
Not a single one of them could move.
"Snap."
Leon flicked his fingers once again.
As the sound echoed outward, ripples suddenly appeared in the surrounding space. Those ripples spread outward like waves on water, distorting the very fabric of reality.
The bodies of the Asgardian warriors were caught directly within those distortions.
From Leon's perspective, their bodies stretched and compressed along with the spatial waves. With every ripple, their forms twisted violently.
Muscles tore.
Bones snapped.
Blood splattered into the air.
Within just a few breaths, their bodies were completely shredded by the violent disturbances in space itself.
When the ripples finally faded and reality returned to normal, several dull thuds sounded in succession.
The warriors never even had time to speak.
They had already gone to meet their king.
What remained of them was nothing more than scattered piles of mangled flesh.
Leon had spared Thor's life.
But the same mercy did not extend to his followers. They were merely minor characters in this conflict, and their deaths held no importance to him.
At that moment, Thor continued falling endlessly within the spatial loop.
Leon had no intention of stopping it yet.
Perhaps out of a strange sense of amusement, the scene unfolding before him felt oddly familiar.
"Aaah—!"
Thor's screams echoed continuously.
Inside the two spatial cracks, his body moved so fast that it became little more than a streak of shadow connecting the two openings.
And so the situation continued.
Half an hour passed.
Finally, Leon casually waved his hand.
The two spatial rifts vanished instantly.
Thor's body dropped straight down from the air and slammed heavily into the ground in front of Leon.
"Boom!"
A crater more than a meter deep formed where he landed.
At that moment, Thor no longer resembled the mighty God of Thunder. His hair was disheveled, his armor covered in dirt and dust, and he lay motionless at the bottom of the pit.
He didn't even attempt to stand up.
Leon frowned slightly.
"Huh?"
Something felt off.
With another wave of his hand, a spatial crack appeared more than ten meters above Thor.
"Whii—!"
A silver-white object suddenly fell through the opening at high speed.
"Bang!"
"Ah!"
With a dull impact and a painful cry, Thor—who had just managed to push himself halfway up—was smashed straight back into the ground.
Blood immediately began seeping from his forehead.
The object that had struck him was none other than Mjolnir.
During the endless fall, Thor had somehow lost his grip on the hammer. The reason was simple.
Leon had quietly altered gravity around Thor while he was falling.
The additional force disrupted his balance, causing him to spin uncontrollably during the descent. What had begun as a straight fall turned into a violent tumbling motion.
For more than thirty minutes.
It was like being trapped inside a giant washing machine drum.
If an ordinary human had experienced that, their blood circulation would have collapsed long ago. But Thor was an Asgardian god, and the worst he suffered was overwhelming dizziness.
Still, the experience was not pleasant.
Thor gasped heavily as he struggled to stand up again. The hammer that had just smashed into his head had struck with considerable force, and he had not yet recovered.
"Ugh…"
Leon couldn't help grinning.
Thor bent over and vomited.
After quite a while, the God of Thunder finally managed to stand upright. Even then, his body swayed violently as if the ground beneath him were still moving.
In his vision, Leon's figure appeared split into several overlapping images.
"You… damn… ugh—"
Before he could finish speaking, Thor bent over again and vomited.
Leon quietly took a few steps backward, increasing the distance between them. He watched the scene with obvious amusement.
Without waiting for Thor to recover, Leon spoke calmly.
"You're too weak."
His voice was flat and emotionless.
"Right now, you're not even interesting enough for me to kill personally. If you want to stop me—or if you want to kill me—then become stronger."
