It was a first day of high school.

Withoud thinking, I said quietly, "She is really pretty....."
Puramodo looked at me and smiled, And Said, "Oh You have noticed her already?"
"I just said she looks nice", I replied But my face felt warm.
Then she turned.
Our eyes met. Everything felt quiet for a moment
I could hear my own heartbeat.
She looked at me with calm eyes. Not angry. Not shy Just looking.
Then she looked away and walked inside.
I stood there, frozen.
Puramodo laughed softly.
"I think you like her," he said.
"I don't," I answered quickly.

When I entered the classroom. I checked the seat list.
My seat was near the window, and beside it was her seat. Her name is Ritou
My heart jumped.
I walked slowely to my seat. She was sitting there, looking outside. I sat already sitting down quietly.
"Hi," she said. Her voice was soft.
"Hi" I answered. My voice sounded strange.
The teacher started speaking, but I couldn't focus.
The wind woved the curtains The sunlight came through the window.
After a few minutes. she spoke again.
"You are staring."

I felt my face become red.

She looked at me for a few seconds. Then she smiled.

That smile was small, but it felt warm like sunlight in winter.
That was the first time I saw her smile,and I knew something had changed inside me.
I didn't know what would happen in the next three years.
I didn't know about anything. I only knew one thing. The moment I saw her- my high schod story truly began.
