Chapter 3: A Growing Friendship
Arjun started spending more time in the village school helping Maya with the children. At first they spoke politely as coworkers, but slowly their conversations became longer.
Maya showed Arjun the rivers, farms, and festivals of the village. In return, Arjun told her stories about the city about libraries, universities, and opportunities.
