Chapter 2 - ep 2 raj hai ghere

This chapter adds incredible depth to the story! We now see the two worlds Shivam is caught between: the ultra-powerful Shah Empire he abandoned out of principle, and the Narang Family where he is treated as a "nobody" despite being their son-in-law.

Here is the English translation of this segment:

The Ghost of the Shah Mansion

The car tore through the streets of Delhi. It seemed as if traffic laws didn't exist for this vehicle or its occupants. Shivam stared at the man in bewilderment. Despite asking several times what was happening and if he was being kidnapped, there was no response. Eventually, Shivam gave up. He just wanted the journey to end, grappling with the fear that he was truly being taken to "Sir." Was he finally going to face the very thing he had spent ten years running from?

Lost in thought, Shivam was jolted forward as the driver slammed on the brakes. The car had stopped on a deserted road. Immediately, a man got out, opened Shivam's door, and looked at him. Before Shivam could voice one of his thousand questions, the man spoke:

"I told you before—I wouldn't dream of kidnapping you or doing you harm. Sir would never approve. You won't find a taxi at this hour. Besides, even if it's just a wedding at the Narangs', you shouldn't arrive in a taxi. Stepping out of a luxury car suits you. After all, you are the last hope of the Shah lineage. Don't worry. The hotel is close by. No one will see you with us."

He handed a luxury suit toward Shivam and added, "Wear this. What you're currently wearing is beneath you."

Shivam looked at the suit, then at the man. Stepping out of the car, he said quietly, "I don't want any of this. If you really want to do something for me, never meet me again. Don't harass me. That will be enough."

The man didn't argue, but left Shivam with one final thought: "Think carefully about Sir's invitation. I am not accepting this as your final answer."

Without a word, Shivam shut the door and turned away. As the car sped off, he pulled out a cigarette and lit it. With every puff, the deep secrets of his past danced before his eyes. The smoke he exhaled seemed to carry the bitter, indelible truths of his life.

"The Shah family... Hah," he smirked.

The prestige of the Shah family was world-renowned. Wealth, status, and power were their hallmarks. The patriarch was Shivamvardhan Shah, a small trader from Surat who moved to Delhi and built an empire. When his first grandson was born, he was named Shivam Shah to carry on the legacy. By birthright, Shivam should have been a man of immense influence. But fate had other plans.

When Shivam was only 14, his father, Bhavesh, became infatuated with a woman named Anjali. While fighting his brothers, Bhautik and Bhushan, for the throne of the Shah empire, Bhavesh divorced Shivam's mother, Mrinal, to marry Anjali. It was a crushing betrayal; Mrinal had stood by Bhavesh through poverty and business failures, only to be discarded for a socialite from another wealthy family.

Mrinal was a woman of iron will. When she finally raised her voice against Bhavesh, he crossed all limits and struck her. Shivamvardhan offered her a massive sum of money to stay quiet, but the proud Mrinal refused a single penny and left the mansion. Shivam, refusing to be parted from his mother, walked out of the Shah legacy with her.

For ten years, they lived a modest life. Shivam even dropped the "Shah" surname, adopting his mother's maiden name, Gandhi. Three years ago, Mrinal passed away from cancer. Shivam thought he was done with that world forever—until today. Why did the powerful Shah family need him now? Why did "Sir"—Bhavesh Shah—want him back?

He crushed the cigarette butt under his shoe, symbolically crushing any thought of the Shahs. He turned the corner and headed toward the ITC Maurya Hotel in Chanakyapuri.

The Outcast Son-in-Law

Today was the wedding of Tanya Narang and Darsh Singhania—a massive union of two influential dynasties. The elite of Delhi—industrialists, politicians, and celebrities—were all in attendance. Among them was the Narang family, with whom Shivam shared a complicated bond. Without this connection, a man of Shivam's current status couldn't even dream of entering the ITC Maurya.

Standing outside the golden doors of the hotel was a 22-year-old girl. She was stunning—sculpted like marble, slender, wearing a stylish light-blue gown. She watched Shivam with indifferent eyes.

Shivam walked up to her and said simply, "You look good."

Drishti Narang glanced at him for a second before turning her gaze back to the arriving guests. Seeing her restlessness, Shivam was reminded of their own wedding two years ago. This beautiful girl was Shivam Gandhi's wife.

Their marriage had been orchestrated by Drishti's grandfather, Bhavani Narang. At the time, it was the scandal of Delhi. People mocked Bhavani Narang, calling him senile for marrying his beautiful, sought-after granddaughter to a "pauper" and an "orphan" like Shivam.

Drishti herself was miserable. Though she went through the rituals, her heart was never in it. In two years, they had never truly lived as husband and wife. No one understood why the marriage happened, except for two people: the late Bhavani Narang and Shivam himself.

Since the grandfather's death a year ago, the Narang family had fallen into a power struggle. Drishti's father, Akhil Narang, had been stripped of control by his brothers. Because Shivam had no status or wealth to offer, Akhil and his wife, Simmi, looked down on him with contempt. To the Narangs, Shivam was a useless addition to the family.

Back at the hotel entrance, Drishti turned to him sharply. "Shivam, please don't talk too much during the dinner after the reception."

Shivam didn't respond and started walking ahead. She stopped him and whispered gravely:

"We will go in together, but remember—today is very important for us. Our entire future depends on tonight. I am going to do something inside that no one would have ever imagined."

Shivam nodded slowly. "I know."

He knew exactly what she was planning. But as they walked into the grandeur of the wedding, the question remained: what was the true secret that bound a Shah heir to a Narang heiress?

Key Plot Points for the Next Chapter:

* The Secret Pact: What did Bhavani Narang see in Shivam that no one else does?

* Drishti's Move: Is she planning to announce a divorce, or a play for the family business?

* The Collision: What happens when the Shah family representatives (who are likely invited to this high-profile wedding) see Shivam there?
