The frozen train station felt eerily silent.
Lena stood beside Daniel, staring at the three timeline hunters.
Aria stepped forward confidently.
Rain tapped softly against the station windows, but even the raindrops outside looked almost frozen.
Daniel whispered nervously, "So… what exactly is your plan?"
Aria glanced at him.
"Simple."
She pointed toward the hunters.
"We survive."
Daniel blinked.
"That's not really a plan."
Aria smirked slightly.
"Trust me. With them, survival is the best strategy."
The tall hunter stepped closer.
His voice echoed calmly through the still air.
"You continue to disrupt the timeline."
Aria sighed.
"You guys really need new lines."
The hunter ignored her.
"The more anomalies that exist, the more unstable reality becomes."
Lena spoke for the first time.
"So your solution is to kill people?"
The hunter answered without emotion.
"To restore order."
Daniel shook his head.
"That's insane."
The second hunter suddenly moved.
In a flash, he appeared only a few steps away from them.
Daniel jumped back.
"How did he move that fast?!"
Aria whispered quickly,
"They can accelerate their own time."
The hunter reached out toward Lena.
"Correction target one."
Lena's heart pounded.
But before he could grab her—
Aria suddenly kicked a metal suitcase lying on the platform.
It slammed into the hunter's legs.
He stumbled slightly.
Aria grabbed Lena's arm.
"Run!"
Daniel shouted, "I thought you said we weren't running!"
Aria pulled them both toward the station stairs.
"Okay fine—run temporarily!"
Behind them, the hunters recovered quickly.
The tall hunter raised his hand again.
"Stop them."
The third hunter vanished from sight for a split second.
Then he suddenly appeared in front of the staircase.
Blocking their path.
Daniel skidded to a stop.
"Great."
Aria groaned.
"They're faster when time is frozen."
Lena's phone vibrated again.
DING.
A message from her future self appeared.
"There is one place they cannot follow."
Lena quickly typed.
Lena:
Where?
The reply came instantly.
"The place where the timeline broke."
Lena frowned.
Then she realized.
"The bridge."
Aria looked at her.
"The bridge?"
Lena nodded.
"That's where everything started."
Daniel looked confused.
"And how exactly do we get there?"
Lena checked the message again.
Another line appeared.
"Unfreeze the world."
Aria's eyes widened slightly.
"Oh…"
Daniel frowned.
"Oh what?"
Aria looked at the tall hunter.
"They're only powerful while time is frozen."
Lena understood immediately.
"If time starts again… they become normal."
Daniel blinked.
"So we just… restart time?"
Aria pointed toward the tall hunter.
"Yeah."
"How?"
Aria smiled slightly.
"We push him."
Daniel stared at her.
"You're joking."
But Aria was already running straight toward the tall hunter.
Lena gasped.
"ARIA—"
The hunter raised his hand again.
But before he could react—
Aria slammed her shoulder into him.
The moment she touched him—
The frozen world shattered.
Time rushed back instantly.
Passengers screamed.
The train horn blasted loudly.
The broken glass from the fallen light hit the ground.
The station exploded back into motion.
The hunters suddenly looked less calm.
Aria grabbed Lena's hand.
"Now RUN FOR REAL!"
Daniel shouted behind them,
"I liked the frozen time better!"
