Chapter 7 - The Birth of the First City

Night slowly fell over the young world.

The storms across the northern plateau had faded. The violent earthquakes of the eastern valley had stopped. The chaotic energy that once burned through the southern forest had calmed.

For the first time since the planet's creation, the continent experienced a moment of stability.

At the peak of the temple mountain, the followers of the Origin Order gathered around glowing fires made from strange mineral stones that radiated soft warmth.

Many of them were still primitive beings, unfamiliar with organization, structure, or leadership.

But something had begun to change.

They now had purpose.

And they had a Creator watching them.

High above the planet, Ang observed the world through the system interface.

Planetary Stability: 74%

Population: 142

Civilization Development Rate: Rising

Ang leaned back in the cosmic void.

"Day one and the planet is already stabilizing."

He smiled faintly.

"Not bad."

But the system interface suddenly flashed again.

Trial Status Active

Remaining Time: 5 Days 17 Hours

Ang's eyes shifted toward the population counter.

"Still far from three hundred."

He sighed quietly.

"Time to see if they can grow."

Below, the leader of the disciples stood at the steps of the Temple of Origin.

The gathered followers looked toward him expectantly.

"We have completed the first step," he announced.

"The world is stabilizing."

Cheers spread across the crowd.

But he raised his hand again.

"However, the trial is not finished."

The crowd became quiet.

"The Leviathan gave us seven days to prove civilization deserves to exist."

He pointed toward the land below the mountain.

"To survive, we must grow."

One follower stepped forward.

"You mean more people?"

"Yes."

Another asked, "Where will they live?"

The disciple looked around the temple grounds.

Dozens of small shelters had already been built, but they were scattered and unorganized.

"This mountain cannot hold everyone."

He pointed toward the vast valley at the base of the mountain.

"We will build a city."

The followers exchanged surprised looks.

"A city?"

The disciple nodded.

"A place where civilization can grow."

High above, Ang raised an eyebrow.

"A city already?"

The system window updated.

Civilization Development Event Detected

Ang smiled.

"Looks like they're evolving faster than expected."

At the base of the mountain, hundreds of followers began gathering stones, wood, and soil.

Primitive tools were created from sharpened rock and hardened branches.

The first structures began appearing across the valley.

Large circular shelters.

Stone gathering areas.

Fire pits.

Water storage pools.

The construction continued throughout the night.

The first city of the Origin Order was slowly being born.

One follower stood on a tall rock overlooking the growing settlement.

The stone-skinned warrior Gor had been working tirelessly since morning.

He lifted massive stones that required five other beings to carry.

A disciple approached him.

"You work harder than anyone here."

Gor shrugged.

"City must stand strong."

The disciple watched him for a moment.

"Then you will lead this place."

Gor blinked.

"Lead?"

The disciple nodded.

"This city needs a guardian."

Gor looked over the valley filled with followers building shelters and walls.

After a long moment, he nodded.

"I protect city."

And with that, the first guardian of civilization was chosen.

High above the planet, Ang watched the event.

System Notification Appeared.

Civilization Milestone Achieved

First City Established

Ang leaned forward.

"Well… that was fast."

The interface updated again.

Population: 187

Ang chuckled.

"Cities attract people quickly."

Meanwhile, deep beneath the ocean, the Leviathan stirred.

Its massive body shifted slowly in the darkness.

The creature had been watching the surface world since the trial began.

The stabilization of the planet had surprised it.

But the rapid growth of civilization concerned it.

Life expands quickly.

The Leviathan's glowing eyes turned toward the continent.

It began rising slowly through the ocean.

But this time it did not roar.

It did not attack.

Instead, the ancient guardian released something into the sea.

Three massive shadows separated from its body.

Smaller than the Leviathan.

But still enormous.

Ocean Sentinels.

The Leviathan watched silently as the creatures swam toward the shore.

If life threatens balance…

Sentinels test life.

Back in the new city valley, the construction continued through the morning.

Stone walls were beginning to form around the settlement.

Water from nearby rivers was redirected into canals.

The followers worked together more efficiently with every passing hour.

Ang noticed something interesting.

The system displayed a new statistic.

Civilization Cooperation Efficiency: +38%

"Teamwork is evolving naturally," Ang murmured.

But suddenly another alert appeared.

Unknown Entities Approaching Coastline

Ang sat upright.

"Oh?"

The system zoomed toward the ocean.

Three enormous creatures were moving beneath the waves toward the continent.

Ang smiled slowly.

"So the Leviathan is testing them again."

On the coastline far from the city, the ocean suddenly erupted.

Three gigantic sea monsters burst from the water.

Each one was larger than a mountain cliff.

Their bodies were armored like ancient sea dragons.

Their glowing eyes scanned the land.

One of them roared.

The sound traveled across the continent.

Even the city in the valley felt the vibration.

The followers stopped working.

"What was that?"

Another roar echoed across the land.

The disciples immediately recognized the danger.

"The ocean guardian has sent something."

The leader turned toward the city.

"Prepare defenses."

Gor stepped forward.

His stone fists clenched tightly.

"City safe."

The disciples looked toward the horizon.

Three enormous silhouettes were moving inland from the coastline.

High above the world, Ang watched everything unfold.

"Well…"

"Looks like day two just got interesting."

The system interface updated once more.

Trial Event Detected

Ocean Sentinel Attack Beginning

Ang smiled slightly.

"Let's see if civilization can defend itself."

Far beneath the ocean, the Leviathan watched silently.

The true test had begun.
