Dev feels angry, but he doesn't want to show any kind of wrong behavior in front of his father, so he holds his father's hand a little tighter and tells him, "As long as I am alive, no one can do anything to you." His father also squeezes Dev's hand harder, and there is hope in his eyes. Feeling the pressure of his father's hands, Dev celebrates his being okay for now.
Just then, the doctor standing nearby asks the nurse to come, and when the nurse arrives, they begin to examine his father again. Dharma Khurana had now closed his eyes. Dev starts to come out of the room and says to himself, "Devil Contract? What is this after all? But whatever it is, because of this, my father's life has been saved.
