Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Armored Beast

The warehouse shook as the massive armored figure stepped forward.

Each footstep sounded like a hammer striking the ground.

Fredy calmly watched the giant machine.

Rhino.

Even though this version looked slightly different from the comic version Fredy remembered, the concept was the same.

A heavily armored brute built for destruction.

Inside the cockpit, Rhino laughed loudly.

"HAHAHA! Look at you!"

The armored head tilted slightly.

"A skinny kid and a shadow monster?"

Fredy didn't respond.

Instead, he calmly stretched his neck.

CRACK.

Rhino continued laughing.

"You're either brave… or stupid."

The massive suit suddenly charged forward.

BOOM!

The floor shattered under its weight.

Fredy's eyes sharpened.

Fast.

Much faster than the normal criminals he had fought earlier.

But still—

Not fast enough.

Just before the metal fist could hit him—

Fredy disappeared.

Shadow Dash.

His body instantly moved through the shadow beneath him.

He reappeared several meters away.

Rhino's punch smashed into the ground.

BOOM!

Concrete exploded everywhere.

Rhino blinked inside the cockpit.

"What the—"

Fredy smirked slightly.

"Too slow."

Rhino growled angrily.

"You little—!"

The armored suit turned and fired a powerful swing.

Fredy dodged again.

Then again.

And again.

Rhino's attacks smashed walls, crates, and steel containers apart.

But none of them touched Fredy.

Inside the cockpit, Rhino became furious.

"STOP RUNNING!"

Fredy sighed.

"I'm not running."

His eyes flickered toward Shade.

"Shade."

The shadow soldier moved instantly.

Like living darkness, it rushed forward and jumped onto Rhino's back.

CLANG!

Its claws scraped against the armor.

Rhino roared.

"What is this thing?!"

He grabbed Shade and threw it across the warehouse.

CRASH!

Shade slammed into a metal container.

Fredy's eyes narrowed.

"Armor is pretty durable…"

Then he clenched his fist.

"Let's test something."

Fredy suddenly rushed forward.

His speed had increased dramatically after the system upgrade.

He jumped.

His fist slammed into Rhino's chest armor.

CLANG!

The impact echoed through the warehouse.

Rhino staggered one step back.

Fredy raised an eyebrow.

"Not bad."

Inside the cockpit, Rhino's eyes widened.

"You… actually moved me?!"

Fredy smirked.

Rhino roared in rage.

"You're dead!"

The armor opened several weapon ports.

Mini missiles launched toward Fredy.

Fredy instantly activated Shadow Dash again.

His body flickered through shadows like teleportation.

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

Missiles exploded everywhere.

Smoke filled the warehouse.

For a moment, everything went quiet.

Then—

A familiar voice echoed from above.

"Well… this looks like a party."

Both Fredy and Rhino looked up.

A red-and-blue figure hung upside down from the ceiling.

Spider-Man.

Spider-Man whistled.

"Okay, armored guy smashing buildings… mysterious shadow guy teleporting…"

He scratched his head.

"I leave Queens for one hour and this happens."

Rhino immediately pointed at him.

"Spider-Man!"

Spider-Man waved.

"Hi Rhino. Still skipping leg day, I see."

Rhino roared and charged toward him.

Spider-Man flipped away easily.

"Whoa, okay! Someone woke up angry today."

Fredy watched silently.

This was interesting.

Seeing a real fight between Spider-Man and Rhino felt surreal.

Spider-Man quickly dodged Rhino's massive punches.

"Hey shadow guy!" Spider-Man shouted while jumping across the warehouse.

"Got any ideas?"

Fredy thought for a moment.

Then he raised his hand toward the unconscious criminals on the ground.

The shadows beneath them began to move.

Spider-Man noticed.

"…Oh."

Fredy spoke calmly.

"Arise."

Dark energy surged through the warehouse.

Three shadows rose from the ground.

New shadow soldiers appeared.

Spider-Man's mask eyes widened.

"Okay… that's new."

Rhino froze for a second.

"You're making more of those things?!"

Fredy smiled slightly.

"Yes."

Behind him now stood four shadow soldiers.

Shade returned and took position beside them.

Five shadow warriors.

All staring at Rhino.

Fredy pointed forward.

"Attack."

The shadow army moved.

Like silent assassins, they rushed the armored brute.

Spider-Man blinked.

"Wow."

Then he quickly jumped forward as well.

"Alright! Team shadow monsters it is!"

Rhino roared as the warehouse exploded into chaos.
