Chapter 1 - Unnamed

First, he goes to the Pashupatinath Temple, which is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. When he reaches the temple, he sees that there is a huge crowd at the entrance. Only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, so many foreigners and tourists are waiting outside. Policemen are guarding the temple and making sure that only Hindus go inside.

Inside the temple area, there is a lot of confusion and noise. Priests are performing religious rituals and shouting instructions to the visitors. Some devotees are trying to get a good place to worship. There are also beggars sitting around the temple asking for money.

The author notices several monkeys playing and jumping around the temple. Some of them sit on the steps and the roofs. They seem fearless and comfortable among the people. The temple stands beside the Bagmati River, which flows nearby.

After leaving Pashupatinath Temple, the author goes to the Boudhanath Stupa, a large and famous Buddhist shrine. The atmosphere here is very different from the temple. The place is calm, peaceful, and quiet.

Devotees walk slowly around the stupa in a circle while praying. Tibetan monks and other visitors move silently. Small shops around the stupa sell religious items and souvenirs. Everything appears well organized and peaceful, which makes the author feel relaxed.

Later, the author walks through the busy streets of Kathmandu. The streets are full of life and activity. There are many vendors selling fruits, vegetables, postcards, and Western clothes. Some shops sell antiques and other attractive items. The roads are crowded with bicycles, rickshaws, and people moving in different directions.

The author sits on a bench and observes the surroundings. In the middle of the noise and crowd, he suddenly hears the sweet and pleasant sound of a flute.

A flute seller is walking slowly through the street carrying many flutes of different sizes. The man plays beautiful music while moving through the market. The sound of the flute is soft and calming.

The author remembers that flute sellers can be found in many parts of the world. The flute seller represents a simple and traditional way of life. Even in a busy and noisy city, the gentle music of the flute brings a feeling of peace and beauty.
