"So..." I slumped down onto the wet floor, feeling the dampness immediately soak through my clothes. "What's gonna happen now?"
"A number of possibilities, actually," Elise replied. "If Freya takes out all the drones in the zone right now, there are a number of things that could happen. None of them are particularly good for us."
I looked at her.
"One possibility is that the camp authorities might react to that. I bet you they're watching right now. They could easily dispatch another batch of drones—if they have that in stock." She folded her arms as she spoke, sounding like she'd already spent a lot more time thinking about it than the rest of us had.
"And if they don't?"
"Well, it's left to them to decide how the game goes from here onward. They could either pull us out or change the rules entirely." Elise paused for a moment, as if weighing another possibility in her head before speaking. "But then again, those guys probably saw all of this coming from the very beginning."
