I woke up the next morning with a banging headache. After some much needed R and R. I ransacked my small dorm to gather provisions for my journey. After gathering a little bit of food and an extra pair of clothes, I realized that I own jack shit. I made a mental note to start doing some quests, or else I'll be flat broke. Worst comes to worst, I can scrounge up a few jewels being a street musician, like I did before I got to Fairytail.
Making it to the train station I bought a ticket to a village on the edge of the Phoenix Mountains. HONK! HONK!....a horn startles me as I see a behemoth hunk of metal roll it way into the station. Only now realizing I've never been on a train before, I mentally prepare myself to board. With hesitant steps I tip toe onto the train. Looking hesitant, I carefully took a seat. I sat waiting in anticipation for not only my first train ride but my first journey.
Slowly the train started to move and then took off fast making me jolt in my seat. Watching the trees go by so fast was thrilling, I gotta say the train is awesome.
After a thoroughly enjoyable train ride, I arrived in Beanstalk village. After a new experience like the train, Beanstalk village was rather underwhelming. It seemed to be a mining village, based on the men I see covered in black soot and carrying pickaxes. Besides that the town was rather boring with only a few general stores, a hardware store, and a lone candy shop.
It was midday now so I'm gonna ask around about the gnome shroom. After talking to a few locals, I was rather embarrassed. Most people here think the gnome shroom is a myth or a children's tale. So they kinda made me feel like an idiot for asking. Well whatever, Levi said it was in the heart of phoenix mountains so i'll just head to the dead center.
With determination in my eyes I started my trek into the Phoenix Mountains.
After walking for about 2 hours I could tell I was getting closer, because of how cold it was getting. Once my hands started to get numb from the windchill, I activated star's radiance to keep me warm. I only held off on using it till now so I wouldn't waste magic power.
Once I was comfortably warm I noticed a small blue sparkle in a deep trench. I had an ominous feeling about the trench, but I figured if anything bad happens I can fly right out anyway. So with that thought, I dove right in.
I slowly levitated down using bursts of shooting star. Then my feet hit the ground with a crunch as they met snow. Warming up with stars radiance, I took a look around the gorge. A chill went down my spine seeing the expanse of snow and darkness. My worries calmed when I saw a familiar blue sparkle ahead of me. My heart pounded fast with the spark of adventure.

Back at fairytail
After a reeling hangover, Cana is chugging down her first round of the day. When she is suddenly interrupted, "Cana have you seen Moss, he was supposed to tailor this shirt for me." said by an irritated Loki. "I'm not to…." she tried to say until she was interrupted yet again, "Cana where's Moss, I got a new move I've been wanting to try out on him." said by an angry Laxus. "Why should I...." She tried to say when Levi started to speak, "Cana have you seen Mos….".
" WILL EVERYBODY SHUT THE HELL UP!!!!! First of all, why should I know where Moss is? And second of all why don't you all do your own shit."
Everyone stopped in bewilderment for a beat. Loki head down in shame, just sighed. Laxus stormed away angrily with a not so polite hand gesture. Then Levi finally broke the silence, "I'm worried about Moss, so please tell me you've seen him today." The words left Cana with a foreboding feeling, as she could feel the desperation from her words.
So In a fast and urgent tone Cana asked"I haven't seen him, why what's wrong?"
With obvious nervousness clouding her face she stuttered out "Well I heard a traveling merchant talk about a weird black and white haired boy boarding the train to a village near The Phoenix Mountains." Levi paused as she started to bite her nails. "That's when I remembered that I told Moss about the Gnome Shroom last night."
"YOU WHAT! No way, he didn't?"
"I think he might've gone after it" Levi said meekly
In a panic, Cana grabbed Levi by the shoulders and brought her eye to eye. "We need to find Moss before he gets himself killed." Looking into Cana's determined eyes, Levi gathered her courage and straightened herself up. "Alright, but we gotta move fast. Moss's train left an hour ago."
So with unflinching resolve in their stride, both girls stormed out of Fairytale.
