Chapter 13 - The Rivalry Begins

The next day at Sawyer College, the campus was buzzing with excitement.

Rumors had already started spreading.

Many students had noticed something unusual the previous day.

For the first time ever…

Both Sawyer brothers had been seen talking to the same girl.

And that girl was Ariana Stuart.

Ariana, however, had no idea about the rumors.

She quietly walked through the hallway, focusing on her books.

All she wanted was to survive her first week at college.

But fate had other plans.

As she turned the corner toward her classroom—

She suddenly heard a familiar voice.

"Good morning, scholarship girl."

Ariana stopped walking.

She turned around slowly.

Kayden Sawyer leaned against the wall with his usual confident smile.

Several students nearby were staring at them.

Ariana sighed.

"What do you want?"

Kayden looked amused.

"You're rude."

"I'm honest," Ariana replied.

Kayden laughed.

"I like that."

Before Ariana could walk away, Kayden suddenly grabbed one of her books and looked at it.

"Advanced Economics?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Impressive."

Ariana quickly took the book back.

"I need to go to class."

Kayden stepped aside but didn't move away.

"You know," he said casually, "most girls would be excited to talk to me."

Ariana shrugged.

"Then you should go talk to them."

Kayden laughed again.

Just then, the hallway temperature suddenly felt colder.

Ariana felt the change immediately.

She looked behind Kayden.

Jayden Sawyer was walking toward them.

His expression was serious.

His cold blue eyes moved directly toward his brother.

Then toward Ariana.

Kayden smirked slightly.

"Oh look."

"The Alpha is here."

Jayden ignored him and spoke calmly.

"Class starts in two minutes."

Kayden crossed his arms.

"So?"

Jayden looked at Ariana briefly.

"You should go."

Ariana nodded quickly.

"Thank you."

She walked away toward her classroom.

But she could still feel both brothers watching her.

Once Ariana disappeared down the hallway—

Kayden looked at Jayden.

"You're acting strange lately."

Jayden replied calmly.

"You're causing unnecessary attention."

Kayden smirked.

"Don't tell me you're interested in the same girl."

Jayden's expression didn't change.

"I'm not."

Kayden chuckled.

"Good."

"Because I might be."

Jayden's eyes narrowed slightly.

For the first time…

The rivalry between the Alpha brothers had officially begun.

And Ariana had unknowingly become the center of it.
