A sleek, shiny black car cut through the streets of Mystic Falls in the state of Virginia before slowing down in front of a massive mansion. The mansion was more than a century old and it was constructed of pure white stone. There was a lot of sculpting and intricate carving on the stones of the marble and everything about that massive white structure reeked of pure royalty and luxury. It was a representation of old money.
A vast expanse of garden spread in front of the house, divided into two parts by a stone pathway. A couple of outhouses and servants quarters were also present behind the mansion.
The car rolled onto the stone pathway through the enormous iron gate, coming to a halt directly in front of the entrance. The door of the car was opened and a young man stepped out.
The man was tall, a little more than six feet, and he was well built with refined muscles. He had dark black hair and a pointed nose. Sunglasses were perched on his pale face which were hiding his enigmatic and beautiful blue eyes.
The man was dressed in a black jacket, a pair of blue jeans and casual shoes. In his dress, and with his stunning personality and presence, he looked as charming as one could possibly be. Wherever he passed, he was surely going to be a heartthrob for all the ladies.
An old man and a middle-aged man were already waiting for the arrival of this young man at the entrance of the mansion. A flattering smile appeared on the faces of these men as they stepped forward to greet the newcomer.
"Mr. Alejandro," the old man said in a polite tone, extending his hand. "It is a pleasure to meet you in person."
The young man nodded as he shook hands with the older man.
"Mr. William," he greeted back.
"Mr. Alejandro," William said, gesturing with his hand toward the mansion behind him. "Renovated. Repaired. Cleared and in pristine condition. Everything is just as you had wanted. I have personally made sure that no mistake had been made and up to your requirements."
"I assure you that you will have no complaints from the mansion," he added with a smile and a prideful expression on his face.
"Thank you, Mr. William," Alan Alejandro replied as he pulled out a couple of crisp American bills from his pocket and placed them in the hands of the old man. The old man smiled pleasantly at such a generous tip.
"Anything else you need, you just need to give me a call," he said, placing the bills in his pocket. "I will always be at your service."
"You might need a cook, perhaps even a butler," he said. "I am at your service. I will arrange the best for you."
"You might even need a few maids," he added in a whisper with a 'you know it' smirk.
There was a tone in his voice when he mentioned a few maids, the meaning of what kind of services he was talking about was very obvious.
"Thanks," Alan said, patting the man on his bicep. "I will call if I need something."
"Now, if you will excuse me, I have a house to look at," he added, moving toward the stairs leading into the house.
"Sure, Mr. Alejandro," the old man nodded as he watched Alan Alejandro vanish into the house before he too departed, followed by his subordinates.
Alan took a quick tour of his two story grand mansion. The house had been empty for the past twenty years, but thanks to the services of the old man Alan had hired, it had been restored to its peak condition.
The floors had been rubbed clean, and old, worn out rugs had been replaced. Damaged wooden furniture had been swapped for new pieces. There was new crockery and a full setup for the kitchen.
It took Alan around ten minutes to look at his house before he arrived in the main hall and took a seat on a large stool next to the bar. All kinds of drinks, from costly vintages to simple beers, were arranged in a proper manner at the shelf. Alan upturned a glass and poured himself a drink, taking a couple of sips to ease himself.
Alan Alejandro was not really a lucky man. He was one of those ultra wealthy men who reeked of old money and ancestral wealth. The Alejandro family had been one of the founding families of this city and alone owned almost half the properties, shops, and establishments in Mystic Falls. Apart from that, they had huge investments in various other businesses across the world. Overall, the Alejandro family was stinking rich.
But what was unlucky about it? Alan Alejandro was the sole remaining member of the Alejandro family. There was not a single person alive apart from him with the surname of Alejandro.
He was twenty-two years of age. When he had been an infant of around two years, his parents had died in a car crash, leaving him orphaned, with his grandfather as his sole family member. Unable to handle the grief of losing his son and daughter-in-law, Nathan Alejandro left Mystic Falls with his grandson. He shifted to Los Angeles, and it was there that Alan was brought up.
But around a couple of months back, the grandfather and grandson pair were involved in an accident, and Nathan died in it. In fact, Alan too had died, but he later woke up with someone else in the body.
Another soul from a different world had taken over his body. A world in which he had been very familiar with places like Mystic Falls, Whitmore and New Orleans. But not in the geographical sense. But in the sense of a television series.
Alan had been in pure shock and horror after realizing that he had transmigrated into the body of a person from a fictional world. It had taken him days to come to terms with his new reality and it had not been easy.
