Chapter 39 - 39

39: Chapter 39 Dreams! The Current Situation of Class 7Kakashi raised his eyelids, glanced at Naruto, then lowered his eyes back to his book, and said in his signature lazy tone:

"Me?Um.my name is Kakashi Hatake. As for what I like and dislike.I don't want to tell you."

As for my future dreams.my interests.I have quite a few.

The three people below: "."

Naruto's lips twitched: 'This.isn't saying anything at all?'

Sakura thought to herself, 'They didn't introduce anything except my name!'

Sasuke's eyes grew even colder: 'This guy.is indeed very unreliable.'

Kakashi completely ignored the three's speechless expressions and continued, "Alright, it's your turn."

He casually pointed at Naruto with his finger: "Let's start with you."

Naruto paused for a moment, then straightened his chest, took a deep breath, and prepared to give a proper introduction to his great dream!

Naruto, whose name was called by Kakashi, instantly forgot his slight displeasure from earlier. He excitedly cleared his throat, straightened his back, and his blue eyes shone brightly.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki!"

He announced loudly, his voice booming.

"Things I like."

Naruto immediately pictured the two noisy figures in his consciousness space—Little Luffy clutching his stomach and yelling "Meat!", and Little Ichigo standing coolly with his Zanpakuto in his arms.

He grinned and blurted out, "I love learning all kinds of ninjutsu! It's so much fun!"

'Next time I share my skills, I'll definitely surprise them!'

"What's annoying is."

Naruto scratched his head, looking a little troubled."I can't share the ninjutsu I've learned with my friends for the time being! It just doesn't feel right to figure it out by myself."

He subconsciously thought about how long it had been since he had seen them again, and the regret of not being able to truly "touch" his companions in the space of consciousness.

"Interests."

Naruto's eyes lit up."Of course, it's about collecting all sorts of ninjutsu! The more the better, and the more powerful the better!"

As for dreams?

At this point, Naruto could no longer contain his excitement. He stood up abruptly, pointed his right hand to the sky as if to touch the statue on the Hokage Rock, and shouted out the vow etched in his soul with all his might:

"My dream is to surpass all the previous Hokage!Especially that Fourth Hokage who looks like me!"

And then… I will become the greatest Hokage in the history of Konoha Village… no!The greatest Hokage in the entire ninja world—Naruto Uzumaki!

Sunlight shone on his golden hair and resolute face, and at this moment, Naruto seemed to radiate a dazzling light.

"Gurgle."

However, the empty stomach immediately brought Naruto back to reality, and the invincible Naruto collapsed, clutching his stomach.

Sakura was initially surprised: 'Huh?Naruto…when did he become so enthusiastic about ninjutsu?Wasn't he always just thinking about pranks and eating ramen?'

But upon hearing the last line, "become Hokage," she couldn't help but habitually scoff, "Tch.you guys' dreams are really.unsurprisingly similar."

His tone carried a hint of helplessness, but it also seemed.less purely mocking than before?

Kakashi, leaning against the railing, subtly twitched the corner of his mouth, hidden beneath his mask.

When Naruto mentioned the "Fourth Hokage," his fingers, which were turning the pages of the book, paused for a mere tenth of a second.

In an instant, that blond, gentle yet powerful figure reappeared before him, smiling and patting him on the shoulder.

'Minato-sensei…' Kakashi murmured to himself, 'Did you hear that?Your child… is confidently proclaiming that he will surpass you.'

A mixture of indescribable warmth and bittersweetness welled up in my heart.

"Alright, next up, Sakura Haruno."

Kakashi's voice remained languid, interrupting my momentary thoughts.

Sakura immediately straightened her posture, two red clouds rising on her face, and secretly glanced at Sasuke next to her: "Um.my name is Haruno Sakura."

Things I like.

Her voice trailed off, her gaze almost glued to Sasuke, ".I like.um.the person I like."

"Dreams."

She glanced at Sasuke again, "It's just.being with someone you like.hehe!"

"Interests.together.learning?" Sakura's introduction revolved almost entirely around Sasuke.

"What I hate is…" Sakura seemed to remember something, and immediately turned her head, pointing at Naruto with disgust, "I hate Naruto! He always does annoying things!"

Kakashi turned a page of his book, silently remarking, '.Girls this age really have their minds completely filled with "romance."'

Finally, everyone's eyes fell on Sasuke.

Sasuke remained upright with his arms crossed, his dark eyes lowered, seemingly indifferent to everything around him.

He spoke, his voice calm and utterly undisturbed: "Uchiha Sasuke."

"There's nothing I particularly like."

"There are many things I dislike." His tone remained calm.

But the next second, when he raised his head, his dark eyes suddenly turned icy cold, and a chilling aura instantly spread, even dimming the sunlight on the rooftop: "As for dreams."

Sasuke's voice lowered, filled with a deep-seated hatred: "I have a goal.that cannot be called a dream."

"To revive the name of the Uchiha clan."

He paused slightly, each word seemingly squeezed out from between clenched teeth, laced with the metallic taste of blood, "And.kill that man!"

The air seemed to freeze!

A suppressed and chilling killing intent sent a shiver down Naruto's spine.

Naruto's heart skipped a beat: 'The man Sasuke wants to kill'?That sounds terrifying.

Wait, could it be me?What did I do to offend him?Alright?

After a brief moment of shock, Sakura, looking at Sasuke's cold profile and resolute eyes, felt a surge of infatuation: 'Ah.Sasuke-kun looks even cooler and more handsome than usual!'

Kakashi's fingers tightened slightly as he gripped the book, leaving a fine crease on the edge of the page containing the information on Team 7.

He recalled the black-haired boy, Uchiha Itachi, who quietly followed behind him during his time in the Anbu and always called him "Kakashi-senpai" with a gentle smile.

Sasuke's declaration of hatred, like a cold needle, pierced through some memories that Kakashi had deliberately concealed with laziness.

He silently moved the book down, concealing the complex emotions that flashed across his only exposed eye.

"Um..."

Kakashi broke the suffocating silence, as if nothing had happened."That's enough for the introductions. There's nothing else to do today, everyone go back and get some rest."
