Chapter 11 - 11: The Jujutsu High School Exchange Event

______________________________________

"Huh? A Jujutsu High School exchange event?"

Gojo Satoru, wearing his round sunglasses, yawned.

"Who would go to such a boring event!"

Yaga Masamichi's eye twitched. "Take this seriously! This is a joint event between Tokyo Jujutsu High School and Kyoto Jujutsu High School!"

Geto Suguru was puzzled. "Do we all have to go? Is the other side that strong?"

Yaga Masamichi's face darkened.

"Well, not exactly. It's not good to say this, but the other side... uh, isn't that strong. Any one of you three could handle them easily."

Despite being only first-years, their outstanding performance had already earned them the title of "the strongest trio."

By conservative estimates, their strength was not inferior to Zen'in Naobito, who was hailed as "the strongest grade 1."

It did feel a bit like bullying.

"Hah? Then why go? I'm not interested in crushing weaklings!"

Both Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru made faces of disgust.

Yaga Masamichi clenched his fist.

He turned to look at Gojo Akira, who was sitting cross-legged on the floor, silent and seemingly meditating with his eyes closed.

He roared, "You two brats, can't you learn from Akira? Look at how steady he is!"

Shoko moved closer to Satoru and poked his cheek.

"Teacher, Akira seems to be asleep!"

Yaga Masamichi: "..."

"AKIRAAA!!!"

Gojo Akira jolted awake. "Ah? What is it, Yaga-sensei?"

Yaga Masamichi covered his face. "In short, you three must attend this joint event. The Higher-Ups need to assess your abilities!"

"Yeah~"

The three responded weakly.

Ieiri Shoko raised her hand. "Um, teacher! Senior Utahime invited me to research Reverse Cursed Technique. Can I skip it?"

Yaga Masamichi thought for a moment. Shoko's ability was Reverse Cursed Technique, but these three brats weren't likely to get injured.

So he nodded. "I'll request approval from the Higher-Ups for that!"

The Jujutsu High School Exchange Event, also known as the Sister School Exchange Event, was an annual activity held between Tokyo Jujutsu High and Kyoto Jujutsu High.

But this year's event was a bit special.

Kyoto Jujutsu High mobilized over twenty students from the first, second, and third years.

Tokyo Jujutsu High, however, only sent three first-years.

The Kyoto Jujutsu High students were very puzzled by this, even feeling a bit of schadenfreude.

What did this mean? Handing them victory on a silver platter?

Of course, in the eyes of the Higher-Ups, the outcome of this joint event was already predetermined.

Contrary to the Kyoto students' thoughts, the Higher-Ups unanimously believed that Tokyo High's trio would win in a conservative estimate of just ten minutes.

To put it bluntly, this joint event was to observe the abilities of Gojo Akira and the other two up close.

And, to test some new things... "Wow! Is this Kyoto Jujutsu High? It's way more impressive than our school, right?!"

Gojo Satoru looked at the tall shrine and lavishly decorated buildings, stars practically shining in his eyes.

Gojo Akira slapped the back of his head. "Satoru! Don't look like you've never seen anything fancy before; you'll be looked down on by the Kyoto students!"

Geto Suguru also nodded. "Satoru, you're so embarrassing!"

"Hah? What? You two wanna fight?"

Geto Suguru scratched his ear. "I was the one who won last time, Satoru!"

"Shut up! I won the time before that!"

"Both of you be quiet. The time before *that*, I beat both of you by myself!"

Seeing this, both Satoru and Suguru fell silent, rolling their eyes and turning their faces away.

Damn it! Can't argue with that!

Among the three, Akira's strength was indeed the greatest.

Even though Akira and Satoru had the same ability, Akira's Cursed Energy reserves, control over Cursed Energy, and even basic martial arts were all a notch above Satoru's.

Gojo Akira took two steps forward, claiming the center position. "In that case, I'll be the team leader for this mission!"

"Huh? Just because you're the strongest makes you the leader?"

"Well, why not?"

"The leader needs to be a steady figure. Just being the strongest only makes you good cannon fodder!"

"Shut up, Satoru. You're the least steady one among the three of us!"

"Suguru! You wanna fight?"

"Bring it on!"

Thump! Thump!

Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru crouched on the ground, holding their heads where large red bumps were steaming.

Gojo Akira said with a sinister smile, "Satoru! Get the virtue of respecting your elders properly engraved in your brain!"

"And you, Suguru! You still haven't paid back the 500 million for yūun. Want me to add interest?"

"Bastard! Suguru, let's take him on together!"

"Gladly!"

Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru each grabbed one of Gojo Akira's legs for a double-leg takedown.

Akira fought back, grabbing a handful of Satoru's white hair and locking his long legs around Suguru in a cross armbar.

But soon, the moves devolved into a no-holds-barred children's brawl.

Pinching soft spots on the waist, making scissor-hands to poke nostrils, and Satoru even opened his mouth wide to bite Suguru's topknot!

The three of them suddenly shifted into a chibi art style, starting a "strongest" free-for-all brawl amidst a cloud of dust.

Inside the Kyoto Jujutsu High school building.

The over twenty young Jujutsu Sorcerers from Kyoto Jujutsu High participating in the joint event were psyching themselves up, chests puffed out.

Behind them were the Higher-Ups from The Big Three Families and various school leaders from Jujutsu High.

Additionally, a special woman was among the crowd.

The only current Special Grade Sorcerer in the Jujutsu World, Yuki Tsukumo.

"Hey! Old man, why did you call me back from abroad? Something special?"

Yuki Tsukumo asked Yoshinobu Gakuganji beside her, her tone showing no respect for the elderly.

Yoshinobu Gakuganji wasn't angry either. His eyes, which seemed barely open, gleamed with a sharp light.

"This joint event has three special students. If anything unexpected happens, we'll need you to control the situation."

"Huh?"

Yuki Tsukumo was stunned, then sneered. "You old guys are really getting worse. What kind of trouble could three students possibly cause?"

Unexpectedly, Yoshinobu Gakuganji's expression turned quite serious.

"Tsukumo, these three are different. Two of them are the Gojo Family's six eyes twins. I'm sure you've heard of their reputation. The other possesses the rare Cursed Spirit Manipulation, arguably the strongest Cursed Technique for controlling Cursed Spirits!"

"They're only first-years, yet they're already called the strongest trio. Becoming Special Grade is just a matter of time!"

Hearing this, Yuki Tsukumo's expression finally turned grave.

"six eyes twins? Cursed Spirit Manipulation? Three geniuses!"

The assembled Higher-Ups nodded repeatedly.

Especially the Higher-Ups from the Gojo Family, who all puffed out their chests with immense pride.

The Zenin and Kamo Families, however, were green with envy, looking at their own descendants with disappointment.

"Come to think of it, all three are Yaga's students, right?"

Yaga Masamichi, squeezed in the crowd, scratched his head. "Just lucky. Being their teacher is my honor!"

"We're here!"

At that moment, the group arrived before the school building's main entrance.

Yoshinobu Gakuganji chuckled. "Come, let us all meet these three genius youths."

Saying this, his aged body erupted with an indescribable force, easily pushing the large doors open.

The next moment, the scene outside was revealed to everyone.

Whether it was the Kyoto Jujutsu High students or the Higher-Ups with their own agendas,

they all craned their necks, casting eager, expectant looks, wanting to see the legendary "strongest trio" in all their glory.

But the next moment, everyone froze in place.

They saw the legendary "strongest trio" currently locked in a childish brawl, rolling around together.

The three were bruised and bloody, with nosebleeds streaming down and obvious shoe prints still on their faces, their yelps and cries echoing.

In that moment, Yaga Masamichi felt his face burning with shame, wishing he could find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

He knew that from today on, he, Yaga Masamichi, would be infamous in the education world!
